King was a military man before becoming a wrestler, he served numberous tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well a Peace Keeping tours of East Timor. A pretty nasty encounter while on his last tour, that is confidential and hasnt been released by the military, was enough for King to leave. Where he began his life in wreslting, running with the likes of John Hitchin, Xavier, Scottywood, Munny McMahon, the Douglas Brothers, Ricky Blaze, Timebomb, amongst others. It was there that a cliq of such was formed away from the ring, and it seems they have followed each other through numerous federations.
Recently Scott King was the owner of Young Lions Wrestling in the NWA, but due to political reasons decided that the closure of YLW was better than serving in the Alliance. it seems to have left a bitter taste in King's mouth.
