Guidelines

-- PSW is meant to be laid back and easy going. It's ideal for people with busy lives. We run one show a month much like many independent feds do. Outside of roleplaying, you're asked to write the occassional news item regarding your charater.

--Matches are won and loss by your roleplays. The best roleplay(s) win. I like a little bit of everything. Trash talk, story, or some kind of hybrid of both. Serious or comedy. Long or short. Quality writing is quality writing to me. The roleplay(s) I enjoy the most will get the wins. Storylines are important in PSW, but no matter what the storyline is, I can figure out a way to continue it regardless of a win or loss. I'm open about most anything being put in roleplays, but use common sense. This is based on some kind of reality. You don't have magical powers, you can't kill people without consequences, and if you're seriously injured in your roleplay, how the hell are you supposed to wrestle in a week or two's time? Also, I don't think I should have to tell people this, but don't use other people in your roleplays without permission. That doesn't mean you can't make fun of them or talk about them. They just can't be appearing in your roleplays without talking to the other handler first. Also, if it happens in a roleplay, everyone can see it and talk about it. While you aren't followed around by a camera crew 24/7, just assume what happens gets back to everyone else.

--I grade each roleplay on a scale of 0-100. Then I take all the scores and average them together, the highest average wins, so this is how one great roleplay could be out 10 good roleplays, simply because that one great roleplay scored a higher grade than the average of the 10 good roleplays. I've always done this since day one, but never put it down on paper. However, this is new. There's a lot of people that are dumping roleplays down on the last day, sometimes in the last hours before deadline. I know the deadline is there for a reason, which is why they still count, however, they will suffer a 5 point loss in that roleplay's score.

--I am the staff. There is no committee, no match writing group, nothing. I am the president, the writer, the booker, the webmaster, the welcome wagon, the head recruiter, the news reporter, and everything else that a fed needs to be successful. No excuses. The buck stops with me for better or worse.

--PSW is based on a small independent fed. PSW can't afford big time stars, even if we wanted them. Now, on occasion, some will appear for a one off match, but mostly it will just be the bottom of the barrel wrestlers. So PSW is also a great place for you to experiment with a new character. In Character (IC) the paychecks will be small. The venues are really small places, usually less than 300 people at each show. Warehouses, high school auditoriums, rec centers, etc. No pyros. No cameras. No big time gimmick matches. Just a ring, a fan base, and professional wrestling.

--The Peach State Championship is the top prize here. It's our version of the World Championship. The Peach State Tag Team Championship is something different. It's hard to find good tag teams. I've figured out the perfect solution. Tag teams will be grouped at random each time there is a tag team match. If a tag team becomes champions, they will stay together until they lose the championship, and then they will go back into the pool of talent.

--Monthly Rankings are based on points. Points are determined by winning matches among other things. For a full list of how to earn and lose points, check out the Overall Rankings page.

--Wrestler of the Month is chosen based on a healthy dose of both OOC and IC stuff. The regular IC stuff applies. Winning matches, making an impact, submitting news items, Tweeting, etc. And the OOC stuff isn't just based on roleplay quality, but also contributing to a healthy and positive OOC community. Mix it together each month and you get the Wrestler of the Month.

--Roleplay of the Month is chosen based on the single best roleplay that I read during that roleplay period. I can't tell you what makes a good or great roleplay. I just know it when I see it.

--Tweet of the Month is chosen based on a Tweet that I just really like. Usually something that I laugh at out loud or go...whoa! at.

--The results for PSW are a bit different than normal feds. Simply put, PSW is an indy fed, meaning no television deal. No recorded shows. No announcers. No nothing. What you get is Jaxson. PSW puts on a show, and then two days later, Jaxson types up a report and posts it on the website for all to find out what happened at the show. Seeing the show is held on Saturday, that means the results are up on Monday.

--And finally,
