Breakaway Results (Saturday, February 4, 2012)

"Before I get started, let me preface this by giving you some legal mumbo jumbo that Jody asked me to include in this. I'm not a reporter. Sure, you're going to find out what happened at our first show, but besides the results, I'll include rants, raves, plugs, some good jokes, some bad jokes, and anything else you can probably think of. For all that, I'm supposed to tell you that the views I express in this are my own, and not that of Peach State Wrestling. Ignore the fact that I'm a paid employee of them, but I digress."

With those words, a year ago, I came to you as the voice...so to speak...of Peach State Wrestling, and nobody has looked back since.

Let me go over numbers with you.

In the last year, I've written to you about thirteen shows, and yes I'm counting our awesome laser tag show that we did, because nobody will ever take away how awesome I was that day, and let's admit it, that's the only time I'll be on equal footing of the superstars of Peach State Wrestling.

In the last year, I've seen 41 superstars wrestle in in this ring or at least walk through those doors under Peach State contract, nine of which went on to hold Peach State Championship gold.

In the last year, I've seen Peach State Wrestling put on an awesome show to an audience of just 78 paying fans, and I've seen them tear the house down with a sold out, standing room only show of 313 fans.

And tonight, I am very pleased to announce, will be our biggest show ever, as we are sold-out, with 439 people at the show tonight. You know what that means, Jaxson is asking for a raise!!! But seriously, no matter the outcome tonight, this is the most important show we've ever done. So much is riding on this show tonight.

It's a chance for Peach State to set the bar high going into our second year.

It's a chance for Griffin Hawkins to prove that he is not just a fluke champion.

It's a chance for Nick "Jackass" King to prove that he is the best Peach State has to offer like he claims to.

It's a chance for returning superstars August Joyce and Dixie Leigh to claim the title that eluded them their first time around.

It's a chance for superstars such as Finn Cambridge, Sebastian Montecelli, Whirlwind, and Brute Svenson to claim the biggest prize in this company.

It's a chance for Blaine Harrison and Mr. Krinkle to be the second people in this company's history to hold two titles at once.

It's a chance for everyone, and I mean everyone, to show what they are made of.

And there will be at least one surprise that I know of, because, as many of you heard earlier today, Matt Reynolds was rushed to the hospital after somebody viciously attacked him as soon as he arrived this evening. He made no bones about it that he was in this battle royal to make sure Nick King didn't win, and Nick King is claiming that it was he who attacked him. He's talking about Matt being taught a lesson, but I think I learned something about Nick tonight. I learned that Nick is a coward who was afraid that Matt was going to make good on his promise to eliminate him from this match. I learned that Nick is one little piece of chicken shit, who was afraid of a wrestler twenty years his elder, so he got rid of him the only way he knew how. He attacked him from behind.

I'm done ranting about Nick. He wanted to hold a funeral for Kid Kaboom earlier this month, saying that part of his career is dead and buried, but he should be concerned. We all know that Griffin has a huge target on his back because he is the champion, but Nick has an even bigger target on his chest, because people just want to beat Griffin. They want to hurt Nick. After tonight is over, he may wind up wishing he climbed in the coffin as well to hide from the onslaught he is going to receive tonight.

But that being said, Matt isn't here tonight, but Jody assured me that there would still be ten challengers in this match tonight. I have no idea where he got a replacement at the last minute. I've been wracking my brain since I found out about it, and the only thing I can think of is John Empires, but with a match like the battle royal, it's going to take both Empires and Natalie to referee the eliminations, so I really have no clue who's going to come out at the #5 slot tonight, but I think we're in for a surprise.

"King Nothing" by Metallica started the show, as the crowd immediately booed for that jackass, Nick King. He made his way to the ring, being slow and methodical. I don't like King, but he is talented. Him winning the title a year ago wasn't a fluke, and neither was him winning it back from Trenton either. He is the real deal, but his attitude--

He had to threaten Natalie to get a mic. That right there was uncalled for. I knew he was going to be starting the show off with a promo, but that wasn't necessary.

...

...

You're damn right I'm not posting that shit King. I'm sure people will see it on Youtube later, but if you think I'm going to give you a voice for your trash, you've got another thing coming. I'm not sitting in a damn office, I'm sitting right here, and you're more than welcome to climb out of the ring and do something about it, but then again, that would mean you are eliminated, and there goes your quest for the title right then and there.

Sorry, everyone, I've never said I was fair and impartial, but King needs to be gone. His promo started out bashing everyone in Peach State Wrestling from Jody, to the wrestlers, to the fans, saying he was the only one worth anything here. I've got news for you King, when you have to result in making fun of a 168lb non-wrestler to get a reaction, you really should look in the mirror. You wanted to be the most hated man in Peach State, well, you got your wish.

I'm not going to dignify it with a response, I'm just hoping that somebody puts him in his place tonight.

And here comes the first man to be able to do it, as "The People's Choice" August Joyce makes his return to Peach State Wrestling! The crowd hasn't forgotten him in the least, as they give him a warm reaction as he makes his way to the ring.

Nick King waits for him in the corner as August climbs into the ring. He climbs up in the corner and raises his hands to the crowd, who respond in kind. King just shakes his head, like he can't believe this, but after the promo he just delivered, the crowd was ready to cheer for somebody. August dropped out of the corner, and...immediately turned, and speared Nick King. The crowd went wild as King is driven into the mat hard, and August is on top, raining down right hands onto King.

King manages to block one or two blows, and wiggle away from August, who gets back to his feet. King gets back to his feet, only to get met with a huge right hand from August. Nick is stunned and falls back into the corner. Joyce stuns him further with a huge open hand chop, before sending him to the otherside with a very appropriate Irish whip. King hits the corner hard, rebounding out of it, only to be met by Joyce, who catches him with a perfect back body drop that sends King 10 feet into the air, before he lands hard on his back in the center of the ring.

The crowd is chanting "PEOPLE'S CHOICE" as Joyce measures King, who is struggling to get back to his feet. King gets back up, and Joyce goes for a reverse neckbreaker, but King blocked it, and twists it into his own neckbreaker. Joyce goes down hard, holding his neck, and King rolls away, making it to the corner, to catch his breath. This quieted the crowd significantly.

King pulled himself up to his feet using the ropes, as August got to one knee, and King rushed him, driving him with a hard knee strike. Joyce went down, as King doubles back around, coming down with a jumping knee strike, landing on Joyce's shoulder. King dropped back to a seated position, a smirk on his face, as Joyce struggled to move.

King gets back to his feet, and bends down to pick up August. He lifts him to his feet, and goes for a suplex, but August blocks it with his leg. King goes for it again, but once again, August blocks it. Now it's August turn to try for one, and he's successful, getting King up and over with a vertical suplex that puts King down to the mat once again.

Then the beeping starts. I honestly didn't know what it was at first, but it's how they're going to let everyone know that two minutes is up. "Uprising" by Muse plays and we get our first look at newcomer Sebastian Montecelli, and this is one of those times where I'm very glad that I'm typing this up instead of saying it, because I'd have trouble pronouncing his last name.

Montecelli comes out to a small reaction, the crowd not quite sure how to react to him just yet, and climbs into the ring. Montecelli doesn't waste anytime, as he goes straight for August Joyce. Joyce, who just got back to his feet, is immediately taken from behind with a German suplex. Joyce's shoulders and neck slam into the mat, only for Montecelli to hold onto the move, rolls it around, and lifts him up again, bringing him down again with another German suplex. This time he releases it, and immediately gets back to his feet.

Montecelli gets back to his feet, looking from both Nick King and August Joyce, both who are down. He moves toward King, but King was apparently playing a little possum, because as Montecelli bent down to lift him up, King drove a chop straight into his throat. Montecelli stumbles away, holding his throat. Montecelli turns back toward King, who grabs him, and then drops him backwards with a inverted Russian leg sweep. Montcelli hits the mat face first, and bounces away, rolling to the side, as King gets back to his feet. He showboats for a second, before turning his attention back to Joyce.

He drives a hard kick into Joyce's side, flipping him over to his side. He drives another kick, this time into his chest, putting him on his back, before jumping up into the air, and coming down with a double foot stomp straight into his stomach. King walks away, as Joyce hunches over holding his gut. King smirks once again, and lifts Joyce up, striking him with a chop, sending him to the ropes. King whips him to the otherside, but before he can deliver an offensive move, Montecelli nails Joyce with a clothesline. King didn't seem to like his plan being interrupted, and rushes Montecelli, nailing him with a shoulder block, sending him back into the corner.

"No Regrets" by Dappy begins to play, and out comes Finn Cambridge. He rushes into the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and goes straight for King, nailing him in the back of his head with a forearm. King slams into Montcelli, before being turned around and nailed by a right hand from Cambridge. Cambridge grabs his hand and sends him to the otherside of the ring. King slams into the corner, and Cambridge rushes straight after him, but at the last second, King slides out of the way. Cambridge slams into the corner hard, chest first, and stumbles backwards. King grabs a handful of Finn's hair, turns, and throws him over the top rope. Cambridge lands feet first on the apron, and struggles to hold on.

Cambridge turns around, and grabs ahold of King in an attempt to stay in the ring, but King rakes his fingers across his eyes, blinding him, and forcing him to let go, and then nails him with a right hand, sending Cambridge off the apron to the floor below, and our first superstar to be eliminated.

King smirks down at Finn, before turning back around, right into a left hand by Montecelli. King stumbles to the corner, and Montecelli follows him in, but King uses the ropes for leverage and lifts up, kicking Finn with both feet in the chest. Montecelli stumbles backwards, and King comes out of the corner, colliding with a huge clubbing clothesline against Montecelli's head. Montecelli goes down hard, but some how manages to get right back up, unfortunately, King turns, and comes at him again, catching him with another clothesline. Once again, Montecelli gets back up, and once again, King turns and comes at him with another clothesline, but this time Montecelli ducks down, grabbing ahold of King's arm, spinning him around, butterflying his arms, and lifting him up, and driving him backwards with a butterfly suplex, something you just don't see a whole lot of anymore.

Montecelli immediately walks over to Joyce, who is pulling himself up to his feet using the ropes. Montecelli strikes him with a kidney punch, stunning Joyce, causing him to stumble to one side. Montecelli grabs Joyce's head and throws him head first into the corner. Montecelli turns Joyce around, but Joyce comes around firing, hammering Montecelli with a right, then a left.

Now it's time to find out who's replacing Matt Reynolds in this match, as "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC  begins to play, which doesn't help me in figuring out who it is, and then Kit Kelsey steps out from the entrance.

I knew he was a wrestler, but I thought he was done wrestling. Something about a shoulder injury. I guess Matt wasn't the only one planning to come out of retirement. Granted, Kit is younger than Matt, but I literally know nothing about him, other than he's the one behind Brute Svenson in both a managerial role and just trying to handle the giant.

Kelsey rushes into the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope, showing no lingering problems from any sort of injury, just as Joyce nails Montecelli with a huge right hand, sending him toward the incoming Kit Kelsey. Kelsey leaps up, catching him with a huge dropkick. Montecelli stumbles backwards toward Joyce, who grabs him from behind, lifting him up, and then dumps him over the top rope. Montecelli lands on the apron, and drops to the floor.

And we have our second person eliminated, as Joyce and Kelsey eye each other, when suddenly King nails Kelsey from behind, knocking him forward into Joyce. Both men are forced back into the corner, where King comes in, driving a knee into Kelsey's back, before grabbing him, and throwing him backwards, coming back and driving a huge forearm across Joyce's chest.

Kelsey stumbles toward the center of the ring, before he steadies himself, and rushes toward King, but King drives a mule kick backwards that catches Kelsey in his stomach. He doubles over, and King turns toward him, grabbing his head, and driving a double knee strike into his head. Kelsey falls backwards, holding his head, as he rolls away. King turns back around, but Joyce catches him with a European uppercut. King takes a step backwards, but Joyce hits him with another one, and another one.

"Let's See Action" by The Who and out comes Blaine Harrison. The crowd cheers for him as he makes his way to the ring. He starts out slowly, but then rushes inside, sliding into the ring. He goes straight for Nick King, catching the already stunned King with a tackle. Blaine hammers King hard with rights and lefts, made no bones about it that he didn't like King early on.

Joyce takes a step backwards, leaning against the corner to take a breath, but then he shakes his head, moving over to Kit Kelsey, catching him with a European uppercut, forcing him back into the ropes, while on the otherside, Blaine hammers King, until King pokes him in the eye, blinding him. King rocks him off of him with an inside elbow. King slowly gets back to his feet, and drives a huge kick to Blaine's head. Blaine drops down, rolling away.

Joyce starts to whip Kelsey, but Kelsey reverses it, sending Joyce to the other ropes, but as he does, King grabs ahold of the top rope and drops down. Joyce hits full force against the ropes, but without the support of the top rope, he flips over it and drops to the ground. The crowd can't believe it that Joyce has been eliminated just like that. King gets back to his feet, smirking down at Joyce for a second, before turning back his attention to the two people left in the ring.

King rushes Kit, but Kit ducks him, and catches him on his shoulder and flips him over the top rope. The crowd gasps, but King lands feet first on the apron. Kelsey turns, but is met with a huge right hand by King. Kelsey stumbles away, allowing King to climb back into the ring through the ropes.

"Mr. Krinkle" by Primus starts and out comes the lumbering clown, Mr. Krinkle. He makes his way out to the ring, but wait...he stopped. He stares at the fans in the first row...the ones dressed as Robin. Krinkle looks confused staring at them, as they stand up booing Krinkle. He walks over to them, just as Blaine leans between the ropes, tapping him on the shoulder. Krinkle jerks around, and Blaine tells him to get his ass in the ring. Krinkle nods, and then climbs up to the apron, and then into the ring.

On the otherside of the ring, King has Kelsey in the corner, leveling him with chop after chop after chop. King nails him again, and then he gets tapped on the shoulder. King slowly turns around, and is now standing face to face with the Peach State Tag Team Champions. King sighs and drops his head, before he begins to nail both Krinkle and Blaine with rights and lefts, fighting for his life, but his offense is stopped dead as Krinkle grabs him with both hands, and drives a headbutt into him. King stumbles away, swinging wildly, but Krinkle follows him, grabbing him again, driving another headbutt into him.

King stumbles backwards, running into the corner the only thing keeping him on his feet. Krinkle raises both his arms, and comes down with a double slap across King's chest, then Krinkle steps away and Blaine takes over, driving several forearms into King's chest. Blaine grabs King''s arm and sends him to the other side. King slams hard into the corner, and then Krinkle comes slamming into him in the corner. King steps from the corner and then drops face first to the mat.

"Here For the Party" by Gretchen Wilson starts up and Dixie Leigh makes her return to Peach State Wrestling. The crowd welcomes her back warmly as Dixie makes her way to the ring. For some odd reason, she walks specifically by the fans in the Robin costumes and slap their hands, before climbing into the ring.

Kit Kelsey hammers Blaine with a forearm, knocking him into the ropes, but Blaine fires back. Krinkle watches, his head going back and forth like a tennis match, then his attention turns to Dixie. Dixie stops and stares at the giant clown, a little creeped out. Krinkle smiles at her and walks toward her. Dixie backs away, only to be stopped by the corner. Krinkle moves in, but then Dixie leaps up and drives both feet into Krinkle's gut. Krinkle stumbles backwards, doubled over, holding his stomach.

Nick King crawls over to the empty corner, trying to regain his footing, but every time he reaches up to grab ahold of the ropes, his hand slips off of them, and he drops back down to the mat. Kit Kelsey has Blaine against the ropes, and nails him with a forearm and then an inside elbow, and then a straight elbow. Blaine stumbles backwards, while Krinkle is still doubled over. Dixie leaps up onto the second rope, and turns in mid-air, coming down with a double ax handle to Krinkle's head. Krinkle drops to one knee. Dixie runs to the opposite ropes and comes back, and leaps up and over Krinkle, coming crashing down onto his shoulders, and forcing him face first into the mat hard. She rolls off of him, and gets back to his feet. She looks around, and sees Blaine and Kit trading blows against the ropes, and she takes off toward them.

Dixie catches both Blaine and Kit with a double clothesline. Both men flip over the top rope. Blaine hits the apron, and tries to grab the bottom rope to hold on, but his hand slips off of it, and he drops to the floor, while Kit is able to grab ahold of the top rope, holding on for dear life. His feet dangle off the apron, until he's able to catch his feet on the apron and push himself through the ropes and back into the ring.

I couldn't believe that Dixie eliminated Blaine. This is proof that it's every person for themselves, but what I can't believe is the fact that King is still in there.

Oh, here comes the big man, Brute Svenson, as the instrumentals from "Europa" by Globus begins to play. Brute makes his way to the ring, slowly and methodically. He climbs up onto the apron, lifts himself up, and then steps into the ring, over the top rope. Dixie turns and runs straight at him, but Brute drives a fist straight forward, knocking Dixie backwards hard. Brute walks over to Kit Kelsey, and helps him to his feet. Kit nods his head and thanks him for the help, and then the two turn their attention to Mr. Krinkle. Krinkle gets back to his feet, and then turns, seeing the only man larger than him standing in the ring. Kit starts toward Krinkle, but Brute taps him on the shoulder, shaking his head. It's obvious that Brute wants to take on Krinkle by himself.

The crowd is on their feet, as they are about to see the two giants square off for the first time. Brute raises his right hand, hammering Krinkle with a right hand. Krinkle's head snaps to the side, but he answers back with a right hand of his own. Brute is forced to step sideways from the blow, but answers back with another massive right hand. Krinkle stumbles backwards against the ropes, but comes back with a right hand of his own with some extra leverage from the ropes. Brute is knocked backwards, but he stops himself, and comes back with a huge haymaker. Krinkle stumbles backwards, but stays on his feet, and comes back with a huge chop across Brute's chest.

Brute winces in pain, as the other wrestlers in the ring, start to regain their footing, but all of them are making sure they are staying the hell out of these two behemoths way. Brute answers back with a right hand, and before Krinkle can answer back, fires off a left hand. Krinkle is dazed, and Brute wraps a hand around Krinkle's throat.

Earlier in the week, he said he could lift Krinkle up with one hand, and he's planning on doing just that. Unfortunately, as he puts all his strength forward into his arm, both of Krinkle's arms come forward, connecting with Brute's head between both of them with an earringer. Brute drops the supposed chokeslam and stumbles away. Krinkle follows him and hammers him again and again with rights and lefts, having Brute on the ropes.

Here comes Whirlwind, wasting no time to get to the ring, but as he does so, Krinkle winds up a right hand, but he takes too long showboating, and Brute fires back with a huge undercut to Krinkle's throat. Krinkle stumbles away quickly, holding on to his throat, just as Whirlwind leaps up onto the apron and springboards into the ring, leaping straight for the big man, Brute, but it was a huge mistake. Brute catches him in mid-air, and then hauls him over the top rope, sending Whirlwind almost halfway up the walkway he just came from. Whirlwind lands hard with a thud, being the shortest person in this battle royal.

And that leaves just Griffin Hawkins to make his entrance, but the action inside the ring is still going strong, as everyone decides to pick a side, going after the biggest people in the ring. Oddly enough, Nick King goes straight after Brute Svenson, driving several kicks into the back of Brute's leg, trying to get him off his feet, while on the otherside, Kit Kelsey and Dixie Leigh go after Krinkle, having him against the ropes, taking turns hammering him with chops and punches, and with Krinkle leaning across the ropes, both of them grab a leg, and try to toss him over the top, neither of them wanting someone like Krinkle in the ring to try to pin once Griffin makes his way to the ring.

They have one leg up, but Krinkle holds on to the top rope for dear life, and with his size, both of them are having a hard time lifting him. Krinkle finally kicks Dixie off, and drops back to the mat, turning and driving an elbow into Kit's face. Kit stumbles backwards, and Krinkle immediately lifts him up in a huge bear hug, only to turn, and drop him straight down, planting his entire body weight on top of Kit in the process. Krinkle actually tries to pin Kit, and if this was a regular match, he would have gotten the pinfall, but this isn't a regular match, and Krinkle doesn't seem to understand that.

Krinkle gets back to his feet, only for Dixie Leigh to jump on Krinkle's back, wrapping her arms around him in a sleeper hold. Krinkle reaches up trying to grab ahold of her, but he can't reach her, as she is just small enough to keep away from his hands. He staggers forward and then backwards, dropping backwards into the turnbuckle, but despite the pain, she somehow manages to hold on.

"Back in the Saddle" by Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose begins to play loudly and out comes the Peach State Champion Griffin Hawkins, title around his shoulder. He's smart as he takes his time to the ring, knowing that the rules completely change once he steps into the ring. He's probably secretly hoping one or two more people will be eliminated before he gets into the ring. He stops right at the apron, staring up at the action going on in the ring.

Brute drops to one knee as King drives a chopblock into his legs, causing his leg to finally buckle. As soon as he goes down, King is back on his feet, and drives a vicious side kick to the back of Brute's head, which causes Brute to drop over the second rope. As soon as he does, Griffin drives a right hand into Brute's face, knocking him back into the ring, and then Griffin takes the title off his shoulder, dropping it at ringside, and climbs on the apron. He grabs ahold of the top rope, and then springboards in, landing back first on top of Brute, rolling to his feet, but as soon as he does, he's met with a huge lariat from Nick King who seemed to be ready for him. Griffin is down, and King begins to hammer him with rights and lefts on the ground.

With Griffin in the ring, eliminations are only through pinfall or submissions, and John Empires enters the ring, with Natalie Wilson on the floor keeping a way of things from there.

Dixie continues to hold on to the sleeper hold, and Krinkle stumbles forward, dropping to one knee. The crowd is on their feet, even though they like Krinkle, just the fact that the petite Dixie Leigh might take Krinkle out would be something everyone would talk about for years to come. Krinkle is supporting himself from going down all the way by propping himself up with his hands on the mat. Krinkle's face looks a little off...more off than normal. Dixie continues to hold onto the sleeper, but then Krinkle starts to actually...well...Hulk up doesn't fit for him...Clown up...like he is being charged by something else...maybe the power of pudding or something like that, but he starts to get back to his feet, and Dixie hangs on for dear life, but then Krinkle jumps up and down with Dixie still attached, only to drop straight backwards into the mat. Dixie has no where to go, as she is driven into the mat, with the full weight of Krinkle on top of her. Dixie's shoulders are to the mat, and John Empires leaps over Kit Kelsey, who is still down, and drops to the mat to make the pinfall. Despite her best effort, Dixie Leigh has been eliminated.

King continues to hammer Griffin on the mat, when suddenly Brute grabs ahold of King and throws him off of Griffin, but then turns and drives a fist straight down into Griffin. It smashes into Griffin's face, but then Brute turns to King, who comes straight at Brute, not afraid of the big man. King hammers him with a right and left, but then Brute grabs King by the throat, pushing him backwards, anger in his eyes. He goes to lift him up, but before he can, King drives a kick straight between Brute's legs. Brute's knees instantly buckle and he drops King. King spits on Brute as he goes to the mat, rolling to his side. King cockily turns back to Griffin, and as he does, a foot connects with his head, as Griffin nails him with the Shot in the Dark.

King crumples to the mat, and Griffin immediately covers. The crowd goes wild as Empires counts the three count!

YES

YES

YES

King is eliminated. He's out of this damn match. There's no title for you in your future. All the words. All your predictions. Take that, you son of a bitch! Get the hell out of the ring and go crying home to your mama!

OK...I'm going to compose myself now, and get back to this match.

Just like that, we are down to the final three. One of them will be with Griffin in the finals. Brute Svenson, Kit Kelsey, and Mr. Krinkle...one of these three will be one on one with Griffin, but Griffin has the power to help choose who it is. Just like he did with King, he can pin people, but until it gets to the final two, nobody can pin him, and he knows that, because Brute just took a swipe at him, and Griffin drops down, just barely missing the move, and rolls out under the bottom rope to the ground.

As Brute stares at Griffin, Krinkle slams into him from behind, forcing Brute into the corner hard. Brute turns around, only to be splashed by Krinkle full steam. Brute stumbles out of the corner and drops down. Krinkle turns, only to be caught by a dropkick from Kit Kelsey. Krinkle stumbles backwards into the corner, but as Kit goes in for another move on Krinkle, Griffin slides into the ring and covers Brute, getting a two count from Empires before Brute throws Griffin off of him. Griffin immediately rolls to the outside of the ring, once again, out of harms way.

Kelsey leaps up, grabbing ahold of Krinkle's head, planting his knees into Krinkle's chest, and bringing him down, on top of him, knees slamming into Krinkle's rib cage. Despite the pain it puts Kit into, it hurts Krinkle much more, as he drops backwards, holding his chest. Kit rolls to one side, but as soon as he does, Griffin grabs his foot and drags him out, hammering him with a huge uppercut. Kit drops to the ground like a sack of potatos, as in the ring, Brute gets back to his feet from the near pinfall by Griffin. He looks around for a second, but Griffin ducks, so Brute doesn't see anyone but Krinkle.

He walks over, lifting Krinkle back to his feet, but as he does, Krinkle slams both hands into Brute's chest with a double open hand punch. Brute stumbles backwards, but fires back with a huge right hand, connecting with Krinkle's head. Krinkle drops to one knee, but comes up, driving a headbutt straight into Brute. Both men are staggered, but it is Brute who definitely catches the brunt of it. He staggers backwards, falling against the ropes, but actually uses them to his advantage, rebounding back. Krinkle steps toward him, but as he does, Brute jumps up into the air, and connects with a huge jumping big boot. Krinkle's head snaps backwards, as his body...no pun intended...crinkles to the ground.

Brute immediately drops down and covers. Empires is there, and I can't believe it, but Krinkle stays down. Brute just eliminated Krinkle with a huge big boot to the head. On the outside of the ring, Griffin has Kit, and whips him hard into the wooden ring steps. Kelsey flips over them and lands on the ground next to the ring. Brute finally sees what's going on, as his head snaps in that direction, and he immediately leaves the ring. Griffin turns, just as he realizes Brute is no longer in the ring, but not in time to realize that Brute is right behind him. Brute hammers him with a right hand that sends Griffin stumbling toward the crowd.

Griffin fights to maintain his footing, but Brute follows him, not worried at all. Griffin turns, and is hammered again by another right hand. Griffin flies through the air, and as the crowd scatters, Griffin crashes into the chairs. Griffin crawls on the ground through the chairs, trying to get away from Brute, and Brute is slowed down, trying not to hit any of the fans getting to Griffin, and as he makes his way through the crowd, Griffin turns, swinging a chair he picked up, and it connects hard with Brute's head.

Brute immediately staggers backwards, trying to stay upright. Despite his size, a chair hit is a chair hit, and he almost goes down. Griffin gets back to his feet, still holding the chair. He raises it again and swings it toward Brute again, but as he does, Brute punches straight at the chair, ripping the chair out of Griffin's hands, and sending it flying. Griffin is stunned, as Brute grabs him around the throat. Brute lifts him straight up into the air, and then chokeslams him on a pile of chairs. The crash is heard throughout the arena as Griffin is laid out.

The crowd is cheering their usual chant of "Holy Shit" from the chokeslam, but Brute isn't done with Griffin yet. He grabs Griffin by his throat again, and lifts him to his feet. He drags him to the ring, with Griffin trying to catch any kind of traction to keep himself from being brought into the ring.

Meanwhile, Kit Kelsey slides back into the ring from his earlier attack by Griffin. The crowd is excited, but at the same time, I don't know if Brute realizes the rules. He can destroy Griffin all he wants, eventually he's going to have to turn his direction to his own handler...Kit Kelsey, because to get a shot at Griffin, Kelsey has to be eliminated first.

Brute throws Griffin into the ring with one hand. Griffin gets hung up between the ropes, before dropping to the mat. Once again, he begins to crawl away, as Brute climbs up onto the apron and into the ring. Brute bends down, grabbing ahold of Griffin's foot, but as he does so, Griffin flips over and kicks Brute straight in the face. Brute stumbles backwards, and Griffin moves away. Griffin tries to get back to his feet, but he sees Brute moving toward him again, and drops down, as Brute, to keep from tripping up, has to jump over Griffin.

It was weird seeing a giant jump in the air, but that's exactly what he did. Brute put the breaks on to keep from slamming into the corner. He turns around, and rushes to Griffin, who has used the ropes to pull himself up. Griffin ducks a clothesline as Brute tried to take Griffin's head off with it, and runs to the opposite ropes.

Brute follows him, and as Griffin rebounds off the ropes, he once again ducks an incoming clothesline by Brute, and then stops cold, turning, as Brute rebounds off the ropes. Griffin fires off a huge Shot in the Dark that fully connects with Brute's chin, causing Griffin to get knocked off his own feet. Brute stumbles backwards, and then, out of nowhere, Kit Kelsey slides in behind him, catching him with a school boy, bringing the big man down. Empires jumps across the ring and counts.

I can't believe it, Kit Kelsey just pinned his own mentor...trainee...friend. My pick to win this whole thing has just been eliminated. I can't believe it.  I really can't. It's almost surreal that a man who wasn't even supposed to be in this match is now in the finals against Griffin Hawkins. The crowd is stunned too, as Brute sits up and stares at Kit. Kit tries to say something to him, but he actually looks guilty for what he just did. Brute slides out of the ring and makes his way to the back, looking angry.

And wait a minute, where the hell is John Empires going? Griffin and Kit both watch him climb out of the ring and leave, and then look at each other from across the ring, both getting back to their feet. If Empires isn't going to ref the final, then who the hell--

"Hero" by AIK belts out through-out the arena.

It can't be. Not here? Not in Peach State Wrestling.

Some in the crowd begin to cheer, where Kit looks confused, but Griffin seems to recognize the music, although it looks like he's trying to place it, but not me. I know exactly who it is. I watched hours of footage from both the previous Irish Battle Royal's from Ricochet Wrestling, and I know for a fact, that there has only ever been one winner in the Irish Battle Royal...and that winner was...

JOHNNY ROYAL!!!

Johnny Royal is here...he's making his way to the ring in a referee's shirt. He's going to be the one to determine who will join him as the only other winner of an Irish Battle Royal.

Johnny Royal climbs into the ring as the crowd cheers for him, and he looks from Kit Kelsey to Griffin Hawkins, and then he tells them to get it on. At that moment, despite how awesome it is that Johnny Royal, a true legend in this business, and Georgia native, is standing in a Peach State ring, the focus immediately drops off of him and is now on the business at hand, as Kelsey and Griffin go straight after one another, locking up. Both men show exhaustion in the lock-up, and Griffin barely locks in a headlock with the advantage.

Kelsey pulls Griffin back into the ropes and sends him to the otherside, only for them to take each other down with a double shoulder block. Both men struggle to get back to their feet first, and it is Kelsey up. He leaps up, connecting with a dropkick to Griffin. Griffin hits the mat hard, and Kelsey covers, but Royal only gets a one count as Griffin gets a shoulder up immediately.

Kelsey gets back to his feet, running to the ropes, but Griffin steps out of the way and takes Kelsey down with a drop toe hold. Kelsey's head snaps off the mat, and he holds his head in pain. Griffin immediately locks on a rear naked chinlock, pulling back on Kelsey's neck. It's not going to cause him to tap out, but it will definitely wear him down.

Griffin gets tired of holding onto the move and as he lets go, he drives a forearm into the back of Kelsey's head. Griffin gets back to his feet, bending down and pulling Kelsey up with a handful of hair. He drags him over to the corner, and slams him head first into turnbuckle. Kelsey stumbles away, dropping to one knee, but gets back up. Griffin follows, and walks straight into a hard right hand from Kelsey. Griffin staggers backwards, but answers back with a kick into Kelsey's gut. Kelsey doubles over, and Griffin connects with a rolling neckbreaker, and immediately covers.

Royal is there, but Griffin only gets a two count, as Kelsey kicks out. Griffin shakes his head, thinking that was it, but doesn't let it get to him, as he gets back to his feet, lifting Kelsey up. He doubles him over, hooks him up for a suplex and lifts him up, but out nowhere, Kelsey frails his feet, causing Griffin to lose his balance, and Kelsey drops down out of the suplex, behind Griffin. Kelsey leaps up into the air, grabbing ahold of Griffin's head, and coming down with a huge backstabber. Griffin's body bounces into the air, and he comes down hard, holding his back, his feet kick wildly.

Kelsey slowly gets back to his feet, but falls against the ropes, as Griffin begins to move once again as well. Kelsey walks over to Griffin, bending down, lifting him up, but as he does so, Griffin rakes his hands across Kelsey's eyes. Kelsey stumbles backwards, covering his face, and Griffin gets up, jumping into the air, connecting with a huge enziguri. Kelsey falls face first into the mat, and Griffin gets back to his feet, only to fall backwards into the corner. Kelsey is barely moving, just one foot kicking back and forth against the mat.

The crowd is starting to get on their feet as Griffin begins to motion for it. He's calling his shot. He's point straight at Kelsey, who finally starts to move. Kelsey starts to get up, his back to Griffin, and Griffin rushes him, launching his foot toward Kelsey's head as he turns around.

Kelsey ducks!!!

He was ready for it. Griffin misses it, but stays on his feet. He turns around...stunner...he walked right into a stunner. Griffin's body bounces into the air and comes crashing down to the ground. The crowd is on their feet, as Kelsey dives across Griffin, hooking his leg. Royal leaps across, counting.

OH MY GOD!!!

New champion...Kit Kelsey...in his first match in Peach State Wrestling just beat Griffin Hawkins!!!

No...he didn't just beat Griffin. He beat everyone on the entire roster. He out lasted everyone else in this entire fed. A man who wasn't even scheduled to be a part of this match came in and won it.

Nobody can believe it. The crowd isn't sure how to react. They love Kit's interaction with Brute, but they also like Griffin. They are torn at this ending, but Kelsey isn't. He looks shocked, absolutely shocked. He drops to his knees and holds his arm into the air, not believing what he just accomplished. Johnny Royal is handed the championship belt and holds it up in the air, before grabbing Kelsey's arm and raising it into the air, before handing him the title.

It is this point that the crowd knows they are happy with this, seeing the emotion on Kelsey's face. The crowd begins to clap, as Royal holds Kelsey's hand up high. He can't believe what has been accomplished here, but then Royal taps him on the shoulder, and Kelsey turns to him, and Royal makes one simple motion. He points to Kelsey's belt, and then motions for it to be around his waste.

What?!

Does that mean Royal isn't just a special guest? He's joined Peach State Wrestling? I think that's exactly what it means folks.

Kelsey looks worried for a second, but then Royal nods a sign of respect toward him and leaves the ring, allowing Kelsey to have his moment in the spotlight, and Kelsey nods back toward him, and then climbs to the top rope, holding the title above his head.

While he does this, Griffin Hawkins stares at him in disbelief from outside the ring, not believing what has just happened with his title reign. He gets to his feet and for a moment it looks like he might get into the ring, but he stops and turns, heading to the back, mumbling to himself in anger.

But it is the image of Kelsey on the top rope that I am left with...the smile on his face as he holds the title above his head.
