The Straight Edge Sensation Stuns!

Shocking would be a suitable word to describe the return of the “Straight Edge Sensation” Chris Jacobs to the ring of High Octane Wrestling. It occurred on July 14th from the NGW Arena. Michael Best, HOW chairman and ICON champion had just announced that he had began the process to officially sign Scott King, Brute Svenson and Chris Jacobs to contracts.

However, the son of Lee Best was in for a huge surprise when Chris Jacobs decked him square on the jaw! The Young Lions ripped off their HOW t-shirts to reveal the colors of Peach State Wrestling. The trio dismantled the HOW chairman with Brute Svenson destroying Michael Best with his patented and painful torture rack.

What followed next shook Michael Best and High Octane Wrestling to its core. Chris announced that he had pulled one over on HOW and signed a contract to square off against Michael Best on August 15th, 2011 in Las Vegas for the ICON championship.
Chris Jacobs will now head to Las Vegas, Nevada on August 15th at the Bottomline pay per view to challenge current ICON champion, Mike Best. This will only be Jacobs' second match back in his return to active competition. One has to wonder if there will be any ring rust or if Chris Jacobs will return to form in Las Vegas. Chris Jacobs had the following to say with regards to his return to High Octane Wrestling.

“This was not an easy decision for me. There was a lot of soul searching before I came to the realization that I belonged back in the middle of that squared circle. I talked to my friends and family. I talked with Scott King for a very long time also. I've been training hard for months. I made a special appearance in Young Lions Wrestling to feel out how much ring rust I had. There was a bit, but a lot less than everyone expected.”

Then Chris' world got turned upside down with several life changing moments happening in the span of a few months. Chris' grandmother passed away. Chris stepped down as the president of the alliance. Young Lions closed its doors as a promotion. It was a lot to take, but Chris pushed through. He secretly signed a deal with Peach State Wrestling as they were on their way out of the alliance. Mike and Lee Best also surprised him with a contract offer to return to High Octane Wrestling. Chris signed a one match deal with an option to return to square off against Mike Best at Bottomline. Mike and Chris have been going back and forth over the past couple of weeks. However, Mike's had to deal with others also who apparently are not to fond of the way he handles his business. Chris continued with the following:

“How do you like me now Michael? You talk a huge game. At Turmoil... that big mouth of yours got you into a bit of a trouble. Yeah, you got your licks in with a few kicks and then your big bad security team conveniently hauled me away before I got return the favor. Later on though... you got your ass handed to you by Brad Jackson and then Gia Van Zant, St. Ives and Crane. I'll have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that just like your daddy you've made quite a few enemies over the years. How are you feeling buddy? Little sore? I'll see you in Vegas in eight short days. The beating will continue and a point will be made. The Icon Championship will finally be around the waist of a true icon. See you on the 15th.”
