Heatwave Results (Friday, July 1, 2011)

It's still hot outside, but that's fine, because I had plenty of fun things to do to keep me cool. Like the brand new Wild West Laser Tag at Dixieland that opened up last weekend. Can I say how much fun it was? And yes, I wore my damn cowboy hat while playing. Is there a problem with that?

And why has Dixie offered her cookies to everyone else, but me?

Wait, that didn't come out right. I think I should move on.

We've had some great matches here in Peach State, but I do not lie when I say that each show things get better and better. Last month, at June Jam, we saw three epic tag team matches...well two epic tag team matches, and Trenton Williams getting his ass kicked by three people...and crowned the very first Peach State Tag Team Champions, Jace Parker Davidson and "The People's Choice" August Joyce. Their road to the tag team champions saw them defeat the team that everyone thought was going to win it all, Peach State Champion, Kidd Kaboom, and WCCW Heavyweight Champion, "The Rising Star" Jay Jousma. They then went on to defeat the tag team of Dixie Leigh and John Empires.

Tonight will be the first night that there are no titles on the line, but what a night of action we will have. John Empires facing newcomer, Donovan Kraig, Kidd Kaboom facing Dixie Leigh in a non-title match, August Joyce will be taking on Tara Michaels, which is a match I am looking forward to, because the one thing they have in common is they are both tag team champions with Jace Parker Davidson, so that match should be very interesting. And finally, in our main event, we will see "The Rising Star" Jay Jousma take on Jace Parker Davidson, which is an NWA dream match that nobody thought they wanted to see until it was booked.

But let's talk July and August. That's right, this might have been our July show, but this month you're going to get two for the price of one. On Friday, July 22, Peach State Wrestling will be participating in Dixieland's Summerfest that will feature music, movies, and wrestling all weekend. Peach State will have several of their superstars on hand for meet and greets, but also all Peach State wrestlers will participate in a battle royal, a match that will have significant meaning, as the battle royal will determine who will represent Peach State Wrestling in NWA's Lou Thesz Tournament, a tournament where the winner will receive a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Can you imagine what would happen if a fed like Peach State Wrestling has their representative win the NWA title? We're talking about some of the best wrestlers in the world. Sure, we have a former NWA World Champion in Jay Jousma, and the current NWA World Tag Team Champions in Jace and Tara, but let's face it, this would be huge for Peach State.

And speaking about NWA World Heavyweight Champions, for our August show, Uprising, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Magnum Randell has agreed to come to Peach State Wrestling to face Kidd Kaboom, in a Champion vs. Champion match that should be one for the ages. Neither title will be on the line, but it will be a matter of pride. With Peach State stepping up and taking a bigger role in the NWA, it will definitely be our coming out party.

But let's get to the action that we had tonight on this special Friday night of action.

The first match of the night was veteran and professional sourpuss, John Empires, taking on "Relentless" Donovan Kraig, making his Peach State debut. I harass Empires, mainly because he's an asshole and treats everyone like crap, but it came out that his best friend former professional wrestler Lefty Muggins had a heart attack earlier in the week and isn't doing too well, so that has to be weighing on his mind.

I'm not too sure about Kraig. He's a product of the economy. Laid off factory worker, single father. He's got a good story, but it would be interesting to see if he pulls it off in the wrestling ring against a veteran like Empires.

Kraig came out first, to a moderate reaction from the crowd to Skillet's "Hero." He slaps the hands of some of the fans, before climbing into the ring. He is followed by John Empires, who looked all business tonight. Referee Matt Reynolds started the match, and Empires just went straight after Kraig. No lock-up, no nothing. He just started raining down rights and lefts on Kraig, knocking him back into the corner. Kraig wasn't expecting this type of start at all.

Empires hammered Kraig in the corner, before grabbing his head, and throwing him out to the center of the ring. Kraig drops to the mat, trying to get back to his feet, but Empires rushes him, driving a knee into his skull. Kraig dropped to the mat, laying flat out. Empires drove several stomps into Kraig's side, before grabbing him and lifting him up. He threw him back into the corner and just hammered him with more punches, not caring about Reynolds's count. Empires grabs his head again, turning him around, and sending him head first into the top turnbuckle.

Kraig stumbles, before dropping to one knee, and Empires kicks him square in the back of the head, driving him face first into the mat. The crowd does not like this assault, but Empires seems to care less, as he stomps on him again and again. He stops, standing over him, and bends down flipping him over. He grabbed his legs, lifting them up, and twisting them together, turning him over with his self-called Georgia Cloverleaf. He wrenched backwards, throwing all his weight into twisting those legs. Kraig didn't waste anytime tapping out.

Empires didn't waste anytime either. He immediately let go of his finisher, and didn't even wait for his hand to be raised. He left the ring, leaving Kraig laying there, holding his back in pain.

Kraig would need assistance out of the ring after the brutal beatdown. Empires must have been working out his issues in the ring, and unfortunately Kraig was the man on the otherside of the ring from him.

Our next match was the one I personally found the most interesting of the night. It definitely had the most interesting storyline, because it pitted "The People's Choice" August Joyce against Tara Micheals. Tara is Jace Parker Davidson's wife and tag team partner in Ascended Supremacy, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, while August is Jace's tag team partner here and current Peach State Tag Team Champions. Neither of them got to choose this partnership, as our tag team division is a bit different than anything else out there, but they are tag team partners just the same as long as they hold those titles. Tara already is a bit bitter about seeing her husband partner with someone else, and the fact that she wanted those tag titles, she has spared no words at how much she doesn't like August, and August hasn't really done much to endear himself to his new tag team partner's wife, as he has kind of rubbed it in to a certain extent.

Tara came out first to "End of Days" by Fozzy. She gets the usual cat calls from the crowd, which she shows her disdain for. She shakes her head at the crowd as she climbs into the ring. Then out comes "The People's Choice" August Joyce, who gets a great crowd reaction. Joyce comes out cocky as ever, but unlike a lot of cocky wrestlers, the crowd eats it up. He quickly climbs up the ring steps, turning his back toward Tara to face the crowd, holding up his hands.

Suddenly, Tara rushes across, bringing her knee into his back, sending him off the apron, before he's even had a chance to pull off his brown coat. Joyce crashed to the floor, as Tara followed him out of the ring, standing on the apron. Joyce slowly got to his feet, throwing of his jacket, as he turned around, right as Tara comes off the apron with a side kick that nearly takes Joyce's head off. Joyce drops backwards, landing flat on his back. Tara stomps Joyce, using the ring apron for some extra support with her stomps.

Reynolds started the count, but Tara didn't let it get very far, as she picked up Joyce and rolled him into the ring. Tara went for a cover, but Joyce almost immediately got a shoulder up. Tara ran to the ropes, coming back, jumping up and going for a hard stomp, but Joyce rolled out of the way, having Tara come up empty. Joyce got back to his feet. Tara holds her leg from the stomp, and Joyce rushes behind her, grabbing her from behind, but as soon as he does, Tara swings her elbow back, connecting with his head. She swings her other elbow, but Joyce ducks, and she turns around. He grabs her around the waist, lifting her up, and slamming her backwards with an over the head belly to belly suplex.

Tara slammed into the mat hard, and Joyce went for the cover, but Tara got a shoulder up. Joyce immediately goes back on the offensive, grabbing Tara's arm and putting it into an arm lock, applying that pressure on it. Tara fought to a seated position, then to her feet, but Joyce immediately flipped her back down with an arm drag. Both wrestlers got back to their feet. Tara rushed Joyce, but Joyce caught her with a powerslam, immediately going for another pin. He got a two count before Tara kicked out.

Joyce got back to his feet, waiting for Tara to get to his feet. He rushes behind her again, jockeying for a waistlock, but Tara reverses it, rolling Joyce up for a pin attempt. She got a two count before Joyce pushed her off. Joyce got back to his feet, but Tara leapt up and caught him with a huge dropkick that sends Joyce back into the corner. Tara leapt up, going for a monkey flip, but Joyce caught her, stepping forward, and slamming her down with a spinebuster.

Joyce went into the ropes, coming back with a leg drop, and going for another pin. Tara got a shoulder up, and Joyce lifted her up immediately, but Tara slips out of his grip, driving an inside elbow into Joyce's head, causing him to take a step back. A forearm across Joyce's chest sending him backwards against the ropes. Tara grabbed his arm and sends him to the otherside. Joyce hits the ropes, and Tara took him down with a running forearm. Joyce got back to his feet, as Tara boots him in the gut, doubling him over. She grabbed him, and went for a suplex, but Joyce blocked it, and reversed it, sending her down with a snap suplex. He gets back to his feet, lifting her up once again, and went for another suplex, but as soon as he has her up, he drops down into a powerslam, a move he calls Tong Ku Zhuan, and I'm glad I don't have to pronounce it, because I can't.

He went for a pinfall, but as Reynolds's hand came down for the three, he saw Tara's foot on the rope. Joyce can't believe it, neither can the crowd as they were sure that Joyce had picked up the victory with that. Joyce shook his head, getting back to his feet, lifting Tara up. Tara looked as if she could barely stand. She dropped down to one knee, and immediately leaned forward, driving her arm straight up between Joyce's legs. Joyce immediately lets go of her, and stumbled backwards.

We must be the only fed that doesn't declare that an immediate disqualification. As a man, I think there should be some law written down that not only do they get disqualified, they get arrested or something like that. And Joyce probably agrees with me at this point. Joyce was doubled over in pain, and Tara got back to her feet and ran to the ropes. She came back, leaping into the air, and connecting with a huge scissors kick she calls The Goodnight Kiss. Joyce's head goes straight into the mat hard, and Tara immediately covered, hooking his leg.

She picked up the three count, to the shock of the crowd. Tara Micheals picked up a huge victory tonight, as she rolled to her knees a smile on her face. She told everyone what she was going to do, and she did it. She just picked up a victory over one half of the tag team champions. That will definitely get people talking after this. Especially when I know for a fact that at Uprising, while the world will be watching Kidd Kaboom versus Magnum Randell, Jace Parker Davidson and August Joyce will have their first tag team title defense, and with only four people not previously booked, it will be very interesting as to who will get that title shot, because there is a very real possibility that Tara Micheals will wind up in that match.

The next match was another barnstormer as we saw the Peach State Champion Kidd Kaboom take on Dixie Leigh. Dixie Leigh came out first as the crowds cheered loudly. She may not have made cookies for Kaboom, but she did make some peach cobbler for him. Which, I might add, he did not share. I don't know if she was just being nice, or is trying to get him a full belly before the match, which would be a brilliant strategy, if you think about it.

Dixie got a good reaction, but it was nothing compared to the reaction that Kidd Kaboom got. when his music started and he stepped out. Kaboom came out with his title over his shoulder and his hands in the air. Kaboom is the crowd favorite in Peach State, bar none. The home grown talent, and the man who will stand up to the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnum Randell, in a month's time.

And he's a champion with a lot of stuff on his mind. Last month, he was teamed with Jay Jousma in the Lethal Lottery Tag Team Tournament, and they lost in the first round after Jousma accidently nailed him with his Silvergun Superkick. However, he put that aside, although after hearing comments from Jousma saying that it was Kaboom who got in his way, not Jousma missing his mark, he might reconsider that. Kaboom also has Magnum Randell on his head, and the fact that he has a giant target on his back as long as he holds that Peach State Championship. But he's not stupid. His focus right now is on Dixie Leigh, who stands across the ring from him.

The bell rang, and the two circle each other, before stopping and shaking hands. A good sign of respect from the two rookies. They both train here under Jody, Matt, and John, and are a product of Jody Wilson's School of Wrestling. They've worked well together, so it will be interesting to see what happens when they are finally in the ring together one on one.

The two circle each other again. Dixie goes in, trying to pick off the leg of Kaboom, but Kaboom pulls back. Back to circling, and Kaboom goes in, but Dixie pulls away as well. They lock-up, each trying to get the advantage, and it's Kaboom who does easily with his size advantage, getting her in a headlock. She quickly pulls him back to the ropes though and sends her to the otherside. Kaboom comes back, hitting her with a shoulder check, taking her down. She gets right back up, as Kaboom heads to the ropes again. Another shoulder check, and she goes down again. Back into the ropes for Kaboom, and he comes back, but this time Dixie slides between his legs, coming up behind him. Kaboom turns around, and Dixie leaps up, spinning in mid-air, catching him with a spin kick. Kaboom stumbles back all the way into the ropes, rebounding off of them. Dixie back to her feet, runs to the ropes and comes back, leaping to the middle rope, springboarding, and catching Kaboom with a headscissors, spinning around, before slamming him down into the mat, sending him sliding out underneath the bottom rope.

The crowd is on their feet as Kaboom catches his breath on the floor, as Dixie stands in the ring excited. Kaboom looks up, a smile on his face as well. This isn't a title match, but if Dixie were to beat Kaboom, I could almost guarantee one would be coming to her in the future. Dixie gives Kaboom time to get back into the ring on his own, which he does so. Climbing up onto the apron, before back into the ring. Kaboom holds out his hand to Dixie, and the two fist bump, a smile on both of their faces, as the two lock-up again.

Kaboom once again gets the advantage quickly with a headlock, but this time, he immediately pulls her over with a takedown. As soon as she is down on the ground though, Dixie reaches up with her legs, grabbing his head, and pulling him into a scissors lock. Kaboom gets to his knees, grabbing ahold of her legs, and gets to his feet, leaping over them, and coming down with a leg drop across her chest. Kaboom immediately covers, but Reynolds doesn't even have a chance to count one, as Dixie kicks out. Kaboom gets to his feet, lifting Dixie up, but Dixie fights out of it, driving a punch into his gut, before delivering a perfect step up enziguri. Kaboom is rocked, as he staggers to the ropes. Dixie gets back to her feet and rushes Kaboom, but Kaboom drops his shoulder and lifts her up and over the top rope, staggering away, but Dixie lands on the apron. Kaboom turns around as Dixie leaps up onto the top rope and comes in with a flying clothesline, taking Kaboom down. She went for a pin, but only got a two count as Kaboom kicked out.

Dixie got up, running to the ropes, leaping up, and coming back with an Asai moonsault, but Kaboom brings up his knees, and Dixie crashes into them. Dixie rolls off of Kaboom, holding her stomach, as Kaboom slowly gets back to his feet. Dixie gets to her feet, and Kaboom grabs her, dropping her back with a Russian legsweep. He immediately gets to his feet, measuring, and then dropping an elbow across her chest. He goes for a pin, but she gets her shoulder up at the two count.

Kaboom got up again, pulling Dixie up, setting up a suplex. He lifts her up into the air, but Dixie brings a knee straight down, causing Kaboom to put her down again, and Dixie carries the momentum to her advantage, rolling him up in a small package, nearly getting a three count, before Kaboom kicked out of it. Both of them got back to their feet, as Dixie rushes toward Kaboom, leaping up into the air for a cross body, but Kaboom catches her in mid-air, spins her, and then slams her down with a sidewalk slam. Kaboom hooks her leg and covers.

Only a two count as Dixie once again got her shoulder up. Kaboom got up, pulling Dixie up, and this time hits a successful vertical suplex. He gets her to her feet again, grabbing her by her waist, but as soon as he does, she brings her foot up, kicking him square in the head, showing tremendous flexibility. Kaboom stumbles backwards, as Dixie gets back to her feet. She drives a kick into his right leg, then left leg. A back hand across his face, and then she leaps up, catching him with a missile dropkick straight into his chest. Kaboom flies back into the corner hard. Dixie leaps up, planting her feet into gut, before falling backwards, landing a perfect monkey flip. Kaboom slams hard into the mat, and rolls several inches, before landing on his back again.

The crowd is on their feet as Dixie looks to the top rope. She's asking the crowd if they want to see it, and they respond in kind, as she begins to climb to the top. The crowd may love Kaboom, but they love great action, and that's what they were getting. Dixie climbed to the top rope. She measures herself, looking across the ring at Kaboom, who is still down. He's a long way across the ring, but she doesn't care. She leaps off the top rope, spinning in mid-air...D-LITE!

But Kaboom got back to his feet. BadaBOOM! He caught her with the BadaBoom in mid-air. The crowd is going crazy as Kaboom covers, picking up another big win. The crowd can't believe the move they just saw. Kidd Kaboom caught Dixie in mid-air of her own finishing move, the D-Lite, connecting with the BadaBoom. It was something that can't even be put into words.

After Kaboom had his hand raised, he helped Dixie to her feet and held her hand up as well. The two had a great match together, and it could have went either way, but Kaboom showed why he was champion pulling out the victory like he did.

There was a brief intermission where the crowd was treated to some music from our DJ...me. And truth be told, I just hook the speakers to the computer and let Pandora play. Although when they started playing "Dream On" I half expected Michael "Snake Eyes" Cavenaugh to come down and hurt somebody again, but it was just the song, and he's probably safe in some retirement home somewhere.

And with that statement, I'm lucky that we're a small time fed, because he'll never read that, and I won't get hurt for the comments.

So let me get into the main event.

Both Jace Parker Davidson and Jay Jousma would be making their singles debut in Peach State in this match, and only one person can walk away as the winner. Jace stepped from the entrance to Saliva's Time to Shine. The crowd doesn't like him. He just oozes cocky. He thinks he's the best in the business, but I'll tell you this, very few people have proved him wrong so far. His wife picked up a huge win earlier tonight, so if he pulls off a win in this match, I can see some interesting celebrating going on in their home tonight.

"Justice" by Rev Theory hit and out came "The Rising Star" Jay Jousma. Jousma may not be a Peach State original, but he has a lot of respect for this fed and the fans here, and the crowd knows it. They give him a huge greeting. Jousma has his sights set on Jace tonight, but he has put everyone in the NWA on notice. He aims to be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion once again, and he is doing everything in his power to do it, taking on all comers, in Peach State, in WCCW, and in Young Lions. He is literally everywhere.

Something that Jace pointed out. Jace is only concentrating on Jay, while Jay has a very full plate...and jet lag. Jace isn't stupid either. He spent several training sessions practicing on avoiding Jay's finisher, the Silvergun Superkick. It was a smart move on his part, as the move can come out of anywhere. He maybe concentrating on Jay for this match, but in the back of his mind, he has to be thinking about his next tag team title match at Uprising, especially when he's not sure who their opponents are yet. It could be the man standing across the ring from him. It could be his wife. It could be John Empires, and we saw the type of mood he is in. Or it could be Dixie Leigh. Two of them will get a shot at the title, and the drawing will be done live as Jody will draw the names, and I will be giving play by play of the drawing on my twitter feed. It should be lots of fun.

Reynolds starts the match, and Jay and Jace march right up to each other. They have a few things to say to each other, and I'm almost positive it wasn't 'have a good match' or anything like that, especially seeing Jace slaps Jousma straight across the face, showing his absolute lack of respect for him. Jousma answers back with a hard right hand that nearly takes Jace down. Jace stumbles backwards, but Jousma stays right on him, hammering him with rights and lefts. He grabs him, and sends him to the otherside with a whip. Jace rebounds of the ropes, and Jousma goes for it. Silvergun Superkick, but Jace was ready for it. He ducks it straight away, like he was expecting it. He stops himself against the ropes, a big smile on his face, as he turns around.

CRACK

Jousma switched legs...he connected straight with the Silvergun with his off foot. Jace didn't see it coming. Jace flips over the top rope and crashes to the floor below. The crowd is on their feet. If he had connected with that move in the ring, this match would be over, I'm almost sure of it. Jay climbs out of the ring, picking Jace up, but as soon as he does, Jace grabs his trunks, and drops backwards, sending Jousma hard into the ring post. It was a desperation move by Jace, but effective none the less. Jousma grabs his shoulder in pain, as he drops to one knee. Jace crawls on all fours away from Jousma, trying to catch his breath.

Jousma gets back to his feet, shaking off the pain in his shoulder, and follows Jace. Jace tries to crawl under the ring, but Jousma stops him, grabbing his legs, and pulling him out, but as soon as he does, Jace drives a boot straight into Jousma's gut, causing him to let go. Jousma takes a step away, and Jace slowly gets to his feet. He lifts Jousma's head up, and measures, before sending a right hand toward it. It's blocked by Jousma, who fires back with an uppercut that nearly takes Jace off his feet. Jousma grabs Jace's head and throws him with force back into the ring. Jace rolls toward the center, trying to get to his feet, while Jousma gets to the apron. Jousma jumps up onto the top rope, leaping into the ring, bringing his fist back, and catching Jace with a superman punch straight across Jace's face. Jace flips and lands on his back.

Jousma covers, but Jace gets a shoulder up at the last moment. The crowd believed Jousma had won right there, but it didn't happen. Jousma got back up, pulling Jace to his feet, and going for a suplex. Jace somehow turns in mid-air, grabbing ahold of Jousma's arm, and forcing him back down with a huge armbreaker on the same arm that already hit the ring post. Jousma reels backwards, holding his arm, as once again Jace struggles to recover, crawling to the corner. Jousma slowly gets back to his feet, holding his arm in pain.

Jace pulls himself to his feet using the ropes, and then rushes to the otherside of the ring, leaping up, and driving a hard side kick straight into Jousma's shoulder. Jousma cries out in pain, falling back into the turnbuckle. Jace's cocky smile starts to come back, as he gets back to his feet. He walks over to Jousma in the corner, grabbing his arm, and wrapping it around the top rope, wrenching it along the rope. Reynolds warns him, but Jace tells him he has until 5. Jousma tries to push Jace away, but Jace just pushes the hand away, continuing to wrench down on the arm, applying pressure to the shoulder. Right at the 5 count, Jace lets go, keeping himself from being disqualified.

Jace backs away for a moment, but then comes back, going straight back to the shoulder, pulling down on it again. Jousma is in obvious pain, and Jace is capitalizing on it big time. Once again Reynolds gets to the 5 count, just as Jace stops. Reynolds warns him again, and Jace just brushes it off again, once again going toward Jace, but as he does, Jousma rocks him with right hand, the one that's not hurt. Jace takes a step back, but then goes in again, only to have another right hand across his jaw. Jace drops down to one knee for a moment, before getting back up. Jousma nails him with a chop across his chest, coming out of the corner, still protecting his hurt shoulder. Another chop across Jace's chest, sending him further back. He pushes him into the ropes, and sends him to the other side. Dropkick by Jousma as Jace comes back. Jace hits the mat again, and once again rolls to the outside, trying to get his breath again and go back on the offensive.

Jousma shakes his head, not letting Jace get out of things that easy. He rebounds off the ropes, and takes off, leaping over the top rope with a huge suicide dive, crashing straight into Jace. Several fans had to move to avoid getting hit by the two stars, as they landed. Jousma slowly gets to his feet again, once again holding his shoulder. I'm honestly not sure such a move like that is the best thing for Jousma to be doing if his shoulder is hurt, but it was very successful against Jace, as he wasn't moving on the ground.

Jousma bends over, picking up Jace again, and this time sends him head first into the ring post. Jace drops down to his knee, holding his head. Jousma picks him up again, but as he does, Jace rakes his fingers across his eyes, blinding him. As soon as he does so, Jace grabs Jousma's arm, and brings it straight into the ring post again. Jousma drops to one knee, holding his shoulder again. Jace climbs back into the ring, leaving Jousma on the floor. Reynolds continues his count on five. He gets to six, then seven, then eight, but Jousma grabs the bottom rope, and pulls himself into the ring, stopping the count. Jace looks disappointed, shaking his head, before getting to his feet. Jace rushes to the otherside of the ring, using the corner to step up into, before flipping backwards, crash landing onto Jousma with a knee drop straight across Jousma's head. Jousma rocks back and forth, as Jace covers.

He almost got a three count, but Jousma got a shoulder up somehow. Jace looked at Reynolds questioning him, but Reynolds holds up two fingers right to him, showing him it was only two. Jace shakes his head, getting back to his feet. He bends down, pulling Jousma slowly to his feet. Suddenly, Jousma pulls away from Jace's grip, spins, and slams a roaring elbow straight into Jace's face. Jace falls backwards, as both men hit the mat hard.

Both men start to move around, but it is Jousma who is up on his feet first. Jace struggles, but Jousma moves over to him, grabbing him, and sends him into the corner with a vicious Irish whip. Jace slams into the corner hard. Jousma turns around, and rockets himself toward Jace, heading full steam at him, but Jace moves at the last second, as Jousma flies past the protective padding and slams his shoulder straight into the ring post. Jace stumbles out of the corner, before turning around, and pulling Jousma backwards. Jousma is nearly limp, and collapses, but Jace stops him, turning him around, before lifting him up on his shoulders, sliding him down his back. The crowd can't believe what they are seeing as Jace walks away from the corner, before dropping Jousma straight down on the back of his neck with Twisted Reality.

Jace rolls Jousma over and covers cockily. The referee counts. 1, 2, 3...no...Jousma got a shoulder up. The crowd jumps to their feet trying to get Jousma back into this. Jace's jaw is down. Nobody kicks out of Twisted Reality. Nobody. The crowd can't believe it. Jace can't believe it. Reynolds can't believe. Hell, I can't believe it.

Jace gets back to his feet, shaking his head, as he begins to stomp Jousma over and over again in his injured shoulder, catching his head a few times as well, leaving Jousma laying their prone. He then turns to the corner. He doesn't waste anytime, getting to the top right away. He stands there, measuring, and then flips off with a huge shooting star press he calls The Awakening. Jace immediately hooks the leg, and despite the crowd, Jousma can't get a shoulder up this time, as Reynolds hand comes down for a three count.

The crowd boos loudly, not liking Jace picking up the victory, but what a match it was. Jace is proving to everyone that he isn't just a tag team wrestler, as he picked up what might be the biggest singles victory in his career. Jace's cocky smile tries to return, but he can't muster the strength for it, as he struggles to get to his feet, but has to drop down to one knee, as Jousma just lays there, breathing heavily, holding his shoulder.

These two fought a hard contest, and Jace came out on top, but I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see these two against each other. It should be very interesting indeed.

Well that's it for Heatwave. It was a great show. And in the next month, we have not one, but two great shows for you. We're going to see who represents Peach State Wrestling in NWA's Lou Thesz Tournament at Dixieland's Summerfest on Friday, July 22, as we see all the stars of Peach State Wrestling in an over the top battle royal. And on Saturday, August 6, it's Uprising as we'll see the Peach State Champion Kidd Kaboom face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Magnum Randell in what will surely have everyone talking. We will also see Jace Parker Davidson and "The People's Choice" August Joyce defend their tag team titles for the first time against two opponents that haven't been chosen yet, but will be. Remember to follow me tonight on Twitter at around 9:00PM to find out who the two lucky wrestlers will be to face off against the champions.

Have a good night everyone.
