June Jam Results (Saturday, June 4, 2011)

It's hot outside. I mean seriously hot. We're talking near record highs. The weather report said it was supposed to get to 94 today. They lied. The gauge I'm reading says 96. And that's only what it actually is outside. This is Georgia. There's this thing called humidity that only people in the south really understand, so it feels over 100 outside.

Did I mention it was hot?

Thankfully, they got the air conditioning fixed in the warehouse, or I'm afraid we'd be taking people out of here from dehydration.

We had some excitement this week with Jared James dropping off the face of the earth. I don't know all the details, but I know he left Jody in a predicament. However, I'm going on the record and saying Jared leaving was one of the best things happened to Peach State. No offense to Jared. I thought he was a fine wrestler and all that, but we got Jay Jousma to come to Peach State. This guy is a former NWA World Champion. He's the king of the world in WCCW right now, and he has to be one of those guys that has his sites on bigger fish, yet he took time out of his training schedule, less than a week after winning the WCCW Unified Heavyweight Championship at one of the NWA's biggest shows of the year, Wrestlebowl, and he comes to wrestle here, taking over for Jared James and partnering with the Peach State Champion Kidd Kaboom in the Tag Team Tournament tonight. To me that's just awesome.

And most people are touting this as a one time special thing, but what people aren't understanding is that Jousma (and yes, I'm very thankful that I get to type his name, instead of having to say it, because I would probably mispronounce it a dozen times) is making a commitment to Peach State Wrestling. This might not be a one time deal. One of the biggest stars in the NWA right now, has chosen us to spend some time in, among his other commitments.

Once again, how cool is that?

And the crowd showed up, despite the heat, as we had our largest crowd tonight, nearly 250 people came out tonight, which is an amazing crowd for us.

I was super excited tonight, because it's been a long time since I've seen good tag team action. We did get to see a handicap match in our opening show, First Steps, but come on, that wasn't true tag team action. Granted, this is lethal lottery style, so it's hard to tell what kind of action we'll be seeing tonight. From true teams to teams slapping each other to teams that just outright fight each other. There's no telling.

We started the night off with quite possibly the two most unusually paired tag teams. You've got crowd favorite Dixie Leigh paired up with a guy I had the unfortunate duty to interview this week, John Empires. A guy the crowd doesn't like, especially on his attack on August Joyce after his debut victory last month at No Excuses. Their opponents were former Peach State Champion Trenton "Live Wire" Williams and one half of the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Ascended Supremacy, Tara Micheals. Tara and her partner, Jace, successfully defended their tag team championships at Wrestlebowl, and they both are making their PSW debut tonight. Tara with Trenton and Jace later on with August Joyce.

Trenton starts things off, apparently not thrilled with the fact that he's teaming up with Tara. It's hard to tell whether it's because he doesn't like teaming up with anyone or if it's because it's a woman. I don't like Tara's attitude, but god, is she one hot lady, and she's not a Diva either. She can back-up her attitude with skill, but Trenton doesn't trust her. Unlike their opponents, John Empires doesn't seem to have any problem with Dixie starting things off. In fact, it looks like he's promoting it.

This is the first time Trenton and Dixie have ever been in the ring together, and Trenton clearly doesn't even think she belongs in the same ring as him. Trenton is a ring veteran and Dixie is still a rookie, but as we saw with his rematch with Kidd Kaboom, being the more experienced wrestler doesn't always mean the one who winds up in victory.

The two lock-up, but with Trenton's size difference over Dixie, it's a no brainer that he takes the advantage in the lock-up, putting her into a headlock rather easily. He wrenches it in, before turning her around and bringing a huge blow across her back. Dixie went to her knees, and Trenton just smacks her upside the head with a slap, showing his disrespect toward her. He grabbed her by her hair and yanks her to her feet, and nailed her with a European uppercut. She flew back into the corner, where Trenton followed her in, driving his shoulder into her multiple times. Trenton got a cocky smile on his face, grabbing her by her hair, pulling her away from the corner, before turning and sending her face first into the corner again.

The crowd is shocked, as was I, that Dixie somehow jumped up to the second rope, planting a foot on the top, and then flipping backwards landing behind Trenton, taking him completely by surprise. Trenton turns around, and Dixie leaps up, nailing him with a kick to the back of his head. Trenton stumbled forward, dropping to one knee, as Dixie rushed to the ropes, coming back, and catching him full face with a dropkick. Trenton went down hard, and Dixie immediately goes for a cover, getting a two count, but Trenton got a shoulder up, winded from the barrage of fast paced moves.

Dixie got back to her feet, running to the ropes, where John Empires blind tags himself in. Dixie leaps up, coming down with a running leg drop across his throat. Dixie got back up, ready for another move, but sees Empires coming in, coming down on Trenton with a stomp. Dixie is told by Matt what happened, and left the ring reluctantly, wanting to get some more hits on Trenton. Empires doesn't seem to notice or more likely, doesn't care that Dixie wasn't ready to come out. He drives another stomp into Trenton's shoulder, before lifting him up, and pushing him into the ropes. He sends him to the other side, taking him down with a running clothesline. Trenton went down, and Empires covered.

He got a two count, but was pulled off by Tara Michaels, who looks pissed that she's not in this match. Empires got to his feet quickly and stared at Tara. He bends down and picks the former Peach State Champion up, lifting him up on his shoulder, and then slamming him down with a straight forward spinebuster. He got back to his feet, staring at Tara, making sure that she doesn't come in again, and stomps down hard across Trenton's head, before rushing the corner, hitting Tara, knocking her off the apron. Empires walked over and tags in Dixie. Dixie looked a little surprised, but climbed into the ring, before running to the neutral corner and climbing to the top. She looked down at Trenton who is just laying there, and leaps off, spiraling in mid air, before crashing down on Trenton with her version of the spiral tap, the D-Lite. She holds her back in pain, getting to a sitting position, before Tara rushes her, nailing her with a running kick to the face. Tara continues her rush, straight toward Empires, who is waiting for her. Empires drops down, and drives his shoulder into her incoming waist.

Tara is doubled over. Empires bent over, grabbing her head, and standing her up, when suddenly Tara leaps up, driving a leaping knee straight into Empires head. Empires grabs one hand on the top rope, staring dumbstruck for a moment, before dropping off the apron, crashing to the floor below, holding his head. Tara turns, seeing both Trenton and Dixie slowly getting to their feet. Dixie turned around, and walked right into a front dropkick from Tara. Dixie went down, and rolls to the corner. Tara starts toward Dixie, but Trenton grabbed her by the shoulder and yanked her back, yelling at her that he has this. Tara stares at him, looking him up and down, but he dismisses her again and starts toward Dixie. Tara grabbed him, jerking him around, and kicked him square between his legs. Trenton doubles over, and Tara rushes to the side rope, coming back, and leaping up into the air, catching the back of his head with a scissors kick...The Goodnight Kiss, her own finishing move. Trenton's face smashes into the mat, and Tara rolls out of the ring, waving her arms like she's done with him. The crowd can't believe it. Hell, I couldn't believe it. We had just seen the first team meltdown of the night.

Dixie crawled over and covered the former champion and got a three count, meaning that Dixie Leigh and John Empires were one step closer to becoming the first Peach State Tag Team Champions. Dixie got to her feet and celebrated, where as Empires was still struggling to get to his feet on the outside, still rocked from Tara's powerful knee strike.

Did I mention it was hot outside?

Just thought I would share that with you.

The wrestling world lost a giant in Randy Savage this week. I must admit, by the time I came around, the glory days of Randy Savage were over. I was never a big fan of his in WCW, however, I fully respected his ability. You go back and watch his stuff against Steamboat, his stuff against Flair, and wow. He's one of those guys that will always be a legend, and he will truly be missed by any wrestling fan, whether they know it or not.

Trenton finally left the ring, and we were ready for our next match, which was truly the one the fans were waiting for. The crowd were on their feet for "The People's Choice" August Joyce as he came to the ring. He climbed into the ring, talking to the fans as he did so, waiting for his partner. He didn't have to wait long as the other half of Ascended Supremacy, Jace Parker Davidson, stepped out to his music by Shinedown. The crowd, already aware of who he is from his time in SCCW, don't like him. Jace didn't seem to care. Jace climbed into the ring, looked at August, and said a few things to him. August, flashed a smile, and replied in kind. The two seem to have an understanding, but are definitely not friendly.

Then POD's "Boom" begins and the crowd pop loudly. Even Joyce, who got a pretty good pop, took notice, as the Peach State Champion, Kidd Kaboom, stepped from the entrance. Kaboom came to the ring with the belt, looking to add another one around his waist, slapping the hands of the fans at ringside, before climbing into the ring. However, then the moment everyone was waiting for. The debut of Jay Jousma...the NWA Rising Star. "Justice" by Rev Theory hit and out came Jousma, and the crowd was deafening. This was the biggest star Peach State Wrestling had seen since our debut, and the crowd recognized it immensely. You could tell that the larger crowd came out to see Jousma. Jousma came to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans, similar to what Kaboom was doing. Even Kaboom, who was our champion, seemed a little impressed at the pop Jousma received. Jousma and Kaboom stood next to each other, and it was obvious they were on the same page, and had been from the start. These two were ready for tonight.

The bell sounded and Jace Parker Davidson chose to start things off, telling Joyce to sit back and watch. Joyce bowed and left the ring, a little smirk on his face, like this should be good. It was Jousma and Kaboom that decided to do it fair and square. They did it the ole Rock, Paper, Scissors method. With Kaboom getting paper to Jousma's rock, Kaboom would start things off for their team.

Kaboom and Jace locked up. Despite Kaboom having a slight size advantage, there wasn't much difference in the two men, however, Kaboom quickly got the headlock, turning it into a quick hammerlock, and then an armbar. Jace reversed it into an arm bar of his own, but Kaboom switched it right back to his advantage. Jace grabbed a handful of Kaboom's hair and yanked it back, forcing Kaboom to go into the corner. Matt called for the break, and just when it looked like Jace was going for the clean break, he catches Kaboom with a throat thrust, right into a hiptoss out of the corner. Kaboom lands on his back, but rolls to his feet. Jace goes for a running clothesline, but Kaboom ducked it, and rolls toward his own corner, and tagged in Jay Jousma.

Jousma climbed into the ring, and Jace smiled, as the two people knew each other from their time at NWA events. They didn't really like each other more on principal than anything else. The two locked up, and this time, it was Jace who got the advantage, a cocky smile on his face from getting the headlock, but the smile quickly disappears as Jousma drags Jace back into the ropes, and pushes him to the otherside. Jace rebounds off the ropes, going for a running clothesline, but Jousma ducks it, as Jace goes for the ropes again. Jace rebounds, right as Jousma went for the whole ball of wax in his first move...the Silvergun Superkick.

The kick came within inches of Jace's head, but Jace had grabbed the top rope with his hand, which helped himself to slingshot backwards, just missing what could have been the end of the match right there. Jace quickly tagged in Joyce, and dropped out of the ring to take a breather. Jousma stared at Jace, and held up his fingers, letting him know how close it was to being over. Jace just shrugged, and pointed to his head, letting him know he outthought Jousma this time. It was at this time August Joyce chimed in telling Jousma he should be worried about the guy in the ring. This got Jousma's attention, and he turned his attention to Joyce. The two locked up, and it was Joyce who got a quick armbar on Jousma. Jousma quickly turned it into one of his own, but Joyce spun around, wrapping his arms around Jousma, lifting him up, and planting him on the mat with a waistlock take down. Joyce spins around on Jousma's back, getting a rear chinlock on Jousma, pulling his neck backwards.

Jousma struggled for some kind of leverage, but it was Joyce who lets up on it, driving a forearm across the back of Jousma's head. Joyce slides off of Jousma, instead focusing on his arm, driving a stomp into his arm. Jousma grabbed his arm and rolled away from another stomp by Joyce. Jousma got back to his feet, but Joyce grabbed his arm, and flips him over with an arm drag, locking in the arm bar after Jousma hits the mat. Jousma fought back to his feet, nailing Joyce with a left jab, and another, and another. Joyce lets go of the hold and stumbles backwards, but then suddenly fires back with a wild right hand that misses him completely. Joyce is turned around from the missed punch, and Jousma grabbed him from behind, lifting him up, and plans him on his neck and shoulders with a German suplex. Jousma got back to his feet, and tagged in Kaboom. Jousma holds up Joyce's arm, and Kaboom stands on the apron, and springboards into the ring, connecting with a dropkick as Jousma backs out of the way.

Joyce hit the mat hard and Kaboom went for a cover. He got a one count, but despite the fact that Joyce was already kicking out, Jace came in and drove a kick into Kaboom's back, not trusting Joyce to kick out on his own. Kaboom shakes off the kick, staring at Jace for a second as he's leaves the ring. Kaboom runs to the otherside of the ring, coming straight for Joyce, but Joyce rushes forward, catching Kaboom in mid run, lifting him up, and spinning him around with a spinning side slam. He plants Kaboom down hard, and then dropped backwards tagging in Jace.

Jace doesn't waste anytime as he rushes in, going for a cover. The cover only gets him a two count as Kaboom got a shoulder up, still winded from Joyce's powermove. Jace ran to the ropes, jumping up onto them, and flipping backwards with an Asai moonsault, crashing down on top of Kaboom, once again going for a cover. Jousma doesn't let it get very far, as he drives a kick to the back of Jace, before immediately heading out of the ring. Jace got back to his feet, saying something to Jousma, before turning back, lifting Kaboom to his feet, when out of nowhere, Kidd Kaboom hit the BadaBOOM on Jace. Jace literally bounces from the impact of the move, landing on his back. Kaboom rolls over, somehow managing to get an arm over Jace. The crowd is on their feet, but are disappointed as Joyce grabbed Kaboom's foot and dragged him off of him. The crowd can't believe it, and neither can Jousma, as he came running across the ring, connecting with a huge clothesline that sends both him and Joyce over the top rope, crashing to the floor below.

Kaboom slowly got to his feet and saw that Jace was still down. He then points to the top rope. The crowd went crazy, having no clue what he was about to do, but it was something. A moment everyone will remember. Kaboom climbed to the top rope. He held both of his hands into the air, measuring, and then leapt off the top rope, coming crashing down on top of Jace with a top rope elbow drop, an obvious tribute to Randy Savage. The crowd, especially the older ones, knew exactly what it was all about, as the crowd goes wild. Kaboom crawled back over and covered.

This one should have been over. Matt's hand dropped three times, but he saw something as his hand came down the third time. Jace's foot had gotten onto the bottom rope. The crowd couldn't believe it. Nobody could believe it.

Kaboom slowly got to his feet, and measures Jace. He wanted another BadaBOOM. He waves his hand, begging for Jace to get back to his feet, and he starts to. Jace has his back turned toward Kaboom, and then slowly turns. Kaboom went for the BadaBOOM, but Jace blocked it, grabbing Kaboom's head, leaping up, and planting his knees into Kaboom's back, bringing him down with a backstabber. Kaboom bounces onto his gut, and Jace falls backwards. The crowd is stunned, as both men in the ring are exhausted.

On the outside of the ring, Joyce went for a running clothesline, as Jousma hung on the ringpost, but Jousma ducked, and Joyce crashed into the post. Joyce went down to the floor, while Jousma ran over to his side of the ring, jumping up onto the apron, begging for the tag. Kaboom starts to move, and leaps forward, tagging in Jay Jousma. Jousma leaps into the ring, rushing toward Jace, who had just gotten to one knee, catching him with a running knee lift. The move rockets Jace to his feet, knocking him back into the ropes. Jousma uses the momentum to whip him to the otherside, coming back with a huge jumping shoulder block. Jace went down again.

On the edge of the ring, near the corner, Kaboom begins to get to his feet, still not out of the ring yet. But nobody is paying attention to him, because Jousma is telling Jace to get to his feet, as he is readying for his move again. Jace starts to get up and turns. The move sends shockwaves from the power behind it as it strikes...Kidd Kaboom.

Jace ducked at the last minute, and Kaboom walked right into it. Kaboom's head is nearly taken off, as he drops down and out of the ring. Jousma didn't even see what happened, from the force he put in behind it, he starts to fall backwards, but Jace is there, rolling him up. Matt drops down, and as his back is turned, Jace props both feet up on the ropes for extra leverage, getting a three count. As soon as Matt's hand lands for the three, Jace drops down off the ropes, and rolls out of the ring, his hands in the air as the bell rings.

The crowd is stunned at Jousma and Kaboom losing in the first round. Jace and Joyce will move on to the finals. It was an amazing match, and I can't wait to see these four mix it up in the future. Jousma climbed out of the ring and saw to Kaboom, who barely is able to stand on his own. It would be Jace and Joyce against Empires and Dixie in the finals. One of the those teams will wind up as the Peach State Tag Team Champions.

There was a brief intermission where the fans got to...well...most of them stayed inside our warehouse, because, like I've said a few times, it was hot outside, even after the sun set, and when intermission was over, they were greeted to Jody in the ring with a special announcement. Jody mentioned our association with the NWA, but how, without a television deal, or national coverage, or any press whatsoever, we are still seen as merely a developmental fed. And that is fine with him, because there is no way huge talent would ever come to Peach State Wrestling. Former NWA World Heavyweight Champions would never step foot on a regular basis in a Peach State ring. NWA World Tag Team Champions would never wrestle in Fayetteville. Jody said that we might be small, but we have a heart just as big as any lion or tiger. Our talent is as good as any fed north or south, in this country or in Canada. We are bad ass and world class. We maybe the smallest fed in this alliance, but we are a part of this alliance, and it's time to step up. Right now, Peach State Wrestling is issuing an invitation for our September show, Uprising, to the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, which right now is BACW superstar, Magnum Randell, to come to Fayetteville, and this ring right here, and face our champion, Kidd Kaboom. No titles on the line. Just a matter of pride. Win or lose, we will prove that we belong on that same stage as everyone else.

Jody left as the crowd was extremely satisfied with that announcement, as was I. That was an amazing challenge put out there by Jody, and I have a feeling that the type of fighter that Magnum is, he's not going to back down from a challenge like that. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

But it was now time for our main event to crown our first Peach State Tag Team Champions. John Empires and Dixie Leigh came out separately. Empires looking...well...miserable as always, while Dixie seemed overwhelmed that she has the chance to earn her first title so early in her career. Being in the opening match really helped them out a great deal, as they had the longest to rest and recover, something that the team of Jace Parker Davidson and August Joyce did not have the luxury of, which was evident as they walk to the ring. Not to mention, no offense to Empires and Dixie, Jace and Joyce's match was much more strenuous than their opening match. Both Jace and Joyce show the evidence of their first round match, especially Davidson, who looks notably winded still.

This time, August tells Jace he's starting things off, and he walks right over and yells at Empires that he wants him in the ring first. Last month, Empires made his Peach State debut, attacking Joyce for no reason other than he felt like it. It was a move that Empires said wasn't personal, just fun on Twitter the next day. Other than that, he has not discussed why he chose to attack Joyce, but it was something that Joyce didn't forget, obviously.

Empires obliges Joyce as the two stare each other down as Matt shows everyone the two title belts, before handing them outside the ring. The bell rings and Empires and Joyce begin to get smart with one another with comment after comment, each having a reply to what the other says. They get nose to nose, jawing with each other, and finally Empires is the first one to strike a blow. A hard right hand rocks Joyce, but Joyce answers back with a right of his own. The two begin to trade blows back and forth, each stronger than the last. However, it is Empires that gets the advantage, the seasoned brawler that he is. He rocks Joyce hard with one right hand and another, then a left, a right, an uppercut, a jab, and finally a huge haymaker that sends Joyce back into the corner. Empires drives a knee into his chest, before sending him across to the otherside with an Irish whip. Empires follows Joyce in, but Joyce moves out of the way, and Empires hits the corner, chest first. Joyce drops down, rolling Empires up with a school boy, getting a solid 2 count, and it showed how close the match could have been over right there. Empires kicked out, getting quickly back to his feet, as Joyce rushed him, catching him with a clubbing clothesline that took Empires down. Empires struggles to get back to his feet, having his head down, just the position for Joyce to rush toward him, and hit a swinging neckbreaker. Empires goes down, and Joyce covers again, this time barely getting a two count as Empires kicks out. Joyce gets to his feet, and quickly tags in Jace, rushing back to Empires, who is up to one knee, and eyeing a tag of his own, but Joyce cuts him off, as Jace comes in with a quick missile dropkick to Empires's chest.

Joyce leaves the ring, as Jace bends over, lifting Empires to his feet. He wraps his arm around his neck, and goes to lift Empires up, possibly for a suplex or a brainbuster, but Empires blocks it with his leg, and it is Empires who lifts Jace up, dropping him forward with a front suplex. Jace, holds his chest, which took the brunt of the move, and rolls to the apron. Empires follows him over, bending over the top rope, to pick up Jace. He lifts Jace to his feet, but Jace comes up with a European uppercut. Empires takes a step back, and Jace almost stumbled off the apron himself. Empires shakes off the uppercut and makes another attempt at Jace, but Jace blocks it, grabs Empires head, and drops off the apron, bringing Empires's neck across the top rope with a hangman. Empires snaps backwards, as Jace jumps to the apron again, grabbing ahold of the top rope, and springboarding into the ring. Out of nowhere, Empires catches Jace in mid-air, turns, and plants him straight in the center of the ring with a huge spinebuster. Empires drops backwards, and looks or where Dixie is, who has her hand outstretched. Empires leapt toward his corner, and tags in Dixie. The crowd pops loudly, as Dixie immediately goes to the top rope, as Jace just begins to move again. Jace got to his feet, turned, and Dixie flew off the top rope, catching her legs around his head, and whipping him around with a huge hurricanrana off the top rope. Jace lands hard onto the mat and goes sliding. It was a great move for a rookie, but it also showed her inexperience, because it landed Jace right into his corner, where Joyce tagged himself in.

Joyce climbed into the ring, and despite their back and forth camaraderie on Twitter and backstage, this match is for the gold, so friendship goes out the window, as Joyce comes in, and catches Dixie with a knee lift. Dixie stumbles backwards into the ropes. Joyce sends her flying to the otherside, where he tries to connect with a clothesline. Dixie ducks underneath it, and then does a cartwheel into the ropes, rebounding off of them, and jumping backwards catching Joyce with a back elbow. Joyce is stunned, as Dixie rushed to the ropes, leaping up onto them, and flipping backwards, but Joyce caught her in mid-air, and then flipped her over, bringing her straight down across her knee with a backbreaker. The pain on Dixie's face is evident, as he lets her drop to the mat from the backbreaker. Joyce covered Dixie, but despite her pain, she managed to get a shoulder up at the two count.

Joyce got to his feet again, lifting Dixie up, and pushing her into the ropes. He delivers a sicking knife edge chop across her chest. He raises his hand again, and delivers another one. He raises another one, when suddenly a forearm goes across him from behind, as John Empires nails him from behind. Joyce nearly is knocked out of the ring from the blow, as Empires literally grabs ahold of Dixie, throws her over his shoulder and rushes back to their corner. He plants her on her feet in the corner, and climbs out, quickly tagging himself in. The crowd can't believe that Empires actually just saved Dixie. I couldn't believe it either.

Joyce shakes off the blow, turning around, as Empires climbs back into the ring, rushing toward him. Joyce steps out of the way, tripping Empires up with a droptoe hold, sending Empires sprawling across the middle rope, his throat catching on it. Joyce drops backwards, reaching out and tagging in Jace, as he turns, grabbing Empires feet, and lifting them up, stretching Empires body out, the full weight of everything on his throat, with Empires unable to do anything but hang there. Jace runs to the opposite ropes and leaps up, coming straight down with almost a senton splash across Empires back. Joyce climbs out of the ring, as Empires snaps backwards, holding his throat from the force of the last move. Jace got back to his feet, as Empires rolls around, jumping up to the second rope, springboarding off of it, and then turning in mid-air, coming down with a double foot stomp, straight onto Empires chest. Jace crumbles his legs, and rolls off of Empires, before turning over, and covering him, getting a near three count, but Empires gets a shoulder up at the last minute.

Jace gets right back to his feet, lifting Empires up, but as soon as he does so, Empires grabs his waistband, and drops backwards, sending Jace shoulder first into the ring post. Jace is left sprawling on the middle turnbuckle. Empires slowly gets to his feet, and then turns, rushing Joyce, sending him flying off the apron with a right hand, before turning back toward Jace. Empires grabs Jace, pulling him away from the corner, lifting him up onto his shoulder, before turning, and slamming him down with an atomic drop. Jace bounces, somehow staying on his feet, as Empires drives a toe kick into Jace, doubling him over. He puts his head between his legs, and lifts his arms up in a butterfly, going for what he calls a Southern Driver, his version of a pedigree, but before he can, August Joyce comes flying into the ring, catching Empires with a fury of punches. Empires lets go of Jace, as the two begin to trade blows.

Dixie Leigh leaps into the ring, catching August from behind, driving a hard side kick into his side. August stumbles backwards as Empires grabs his head, driving him backwards with an uppercut. Joyce stumbles backwards into the ropes. Dixie rushes toward him, but is caught out of nowhere with a spear by Jace. Dixie is snapped in two from the spear, and rolls to the outside, crashing to the floor below. Jace gets back to his feet, and Empires immediately turns his attention to him, driving him back into the corner with a combo of rights and lefts. He turns, checking on August, too late, as August catches him with a clothesline as he turns around. Empires goes down, and Joyce immediately lifts him up. He grabs his wrist, twisting it, and then lifting him up...turning and slamming him down with a modified powerslam he calls The Qing Ri. Joyce rolls out of the way, as the impact nearly puts Empires through the mat.

Jace doesn't waste anytime. He goes to the top rope, flashes a cocky smile to the crowd, just to get on their nerves, and then flips off, spinning in mid-air, coming crashing down on top of Empires with The Awakening. He hooked the leg and got a three count. The crowd didn't know how to react as both Jace Parker Davidson and August Joyce just became the first ever Peach State Tag Team Champions!

Matt Reynolds hands them both the title, and they raise it up, and then they suddenly realized something. I don't know why they really didn't think about it before hand, but they didn't. They were stuck together. The two of them are now stuck together until they lose the titles. Jace smirks at Joyce, before rolling out of the ring with his half of the title, before heading to the back, leaving Joyce to celebrate alone in the center of the ring. He holds the title up for the fans, who are still cheering for him at least.

Some night of action. I have no clue what's in store for us in July, as we'll bring you a special Friday night of action as we prepare for the July 4th holiday on July 1st for Heatwave...which god, it has been. I can't wait to see what action we'll see.

Good night everyone. I'm going home.
