Background: Born in the Midwestern state of Iowa, Jared James and his family were relatively well-off compared to others that the family knew.  The oldest of three James children, Jared was expected to perform great things over his life and was on the path to do so when he enrolled into the University of Iowa upon graduation of high school.  After a year in high school, Jared began training in professional wrestling as a leisurely activity to keep him stress free.  His trainer, Shawn Jackson, saw that Jared had a gift however and pleaded for Jared James to make this hobby into a career.  So in the spring of 2007, Jared left the University of Iowa and moved out East where he signed with Connecticut Forum Wrestling.  Over the span of the next three years, Jared had his ups and his downs in CFW.  He even came a few seconds away from being the World Heavyweight Champion within the company.  However, upon the closure of the company in October of 2010, Jared would have to take what he had... and move onward with his career.
