Reboot - 08/11/2012

[the show opens with a simple title card for Peach State Wrestling that fades into tonight's Reboot logo, while some free use rock music plays over it. The Reboot logo fades to a shot of the voice of Peach State Wrestling, Jaxson Hunter, standing in front of the camera. Behind him is a Peach State Wrestling backdrop]

Jaxson: What's up everyone? My name is Jaxson Hunter and this is Peach State Wrestling's premiere show, REBOOT. For those of you who have followed us live, we appreciate everything you've done, and plan on continuing the tradition of great shows tonight. For those watching us for the first time, don't worry, because it's a great time for you to become a fan of PSW, because we will crown a brand new Peach State Champion here tonight.

[Jaxson reaches off camera and brings back the Peach State Championship belt, which is neatly folded up to expose just the large silver buckle with the gold etching.]

Jaxson: The new champion will be crowned in a one night tournament that was held at Six Flags Over Georgia. It contained so much action that we couldn't contain it in this entire show, so let's go over the first round action highlights.

[the picture fades to action inside the ring as Dixie Leigh squares off against Mighty Max, who was the representative of Fox Industries.]

HIGHLIGHTS
-Mighty Max attempts to shake Dixie Leigh's hand at the beginning of the match, which Dixie reluctantly accepts.
-Dixie takes Max down with a huge jumping arm drag.
-Max brings Dixie down with a flipover neckbreaker.
-Dixie whips Max into the corner, but when she follows him in, he ducks out of the corner. She hits the corner hard and stumbles out of it. Max jumps up, leaps up into the corner and comes back with a springboard pele kick. He gets a close two count with Dixie getting a shoulder up at the last second.
-Max goes for a spin kick, but Dixie ducks it and hits him with a facebuster. She climbs to the top rope and hits the Dixieland D-Lite and picks up the victory.

[another fade as we see "The People's Hero" Johnny Royal facing off against the masked superstar Hawk Boy]

HIGHLIGHT
-Hawkboy makes some comments to referee Matt Reynolds, and then turns around, right into a spear by Johnny Royal, who picks up a three count.

[another fade to former Peach State Champion, Kit Kelsey, against "The People's Choice" August Joyce]

HIGHLIGHTS
-With Kit Kelsey already in the ring, August Joyce steps from the curtained entrance. He takes two steps, and then is creamed in the back of the head with a chair by another member of Fox Industries, Slim Coakley. Joyce crumbles to the floor, not moving. Slim smiles looking down at him.
-Referee John Empires starts a ten count, but Kit Kelsey shakes his head, leaving the ring and dragging August to the ring. He throws him into the ring.
-Kelsey drags August to the center of the ring and then climbs to the top rope. He stands there, then leaps off, flips in mid-air, but then comes down bringing a double foot stomp into August's chest. Kelsey covers, pinning August.
-August had to be helped to the back.

[the camera goes back to Jaxson]

Jaxson: So already moving on in the tournament, we have Kit Kelsey and Dixie Leigh, who will face off against each other in the next round, and Johnny Royal also moving on. But the true highlight of the first round of the tournament was Blaine Harrison taking on newcomer Travis Cage, and it's this kind of action that you can miss if you don't come out to our live shows, because it was one of the better matches of the night, and we can only show you the highlights of the action.

[camera goes back to the action showing Blaine Harrison and Travis Cage]

HIGHLIGHTS
-Blaine Harrison goes for a suplex, but Travis Cage blocks it and nails a reverse neckbreaker.
-Travis goes for a body slam, but Blaine rolls him up, nearly getting a three count.
-Blaine launches Travis across the ring with a release German suplex.
-Blaine goes for a bulldog off the second rope, but Travis catches him in mid-air, turns and drops him with a high angle back suplex.
-Travis goes for his own suplex, but Blaine blocks it, and turns it into his Metal Heart Suplex, picking up a three count.
-Blaine looks winded leaning back into the corner staring over at Travis.

[back to Jaxson]

Jaxson: So that leaves four superstars vying for the Peach State Championship. Blaine Harrison will take on Johnny Royal while Dixie Leigh will take on Kit Kelsey. One of them will be the new champion by the end of the night. And with the first round out of the way, I'm heading to ringside to call the rest of the action.

[the camera focuses on PSW's ring announcer, Natalie Wilson, as she gets ready to introduce the first match in the semi-final round. She introduces the two opponents as "The Redneck Diva" Dixie Leigh steps through the entrance. The crowd cheers for her as she makes her way to the ring. Next is her opponent, Kit Kelsey who slowly makes his way to the ring. The crowd boos him loudly, but he doesn't care.]

Jaxson: As Kelsey makes his way to the ring, here are some pre-recorded comments he had for everyone.

[The show cuts backstage where a ring-ready Kit Kelsey is standing in front of a Peach State Wrestling banner. He takes a deep breath and smiles. It's an expression surprisingly placid and one he holds for a beat or two before finally speaking.]

Kit Kelsey: They say patience is a virtue. The theory is that sometimes you just need to wait a problem out. So I tried, Peach State, I really did. I gave this company almost two whole months to correct the mistakes they've made. I waited and I waited... and nothing.

[Kit tilts his head and releases a silent laugh, and then a not-so-soundless snort through his nose.]

Kit Kelsey: No, that's not true. Now that I think about it, they've actually been quite busy. They've signed a television deal, beefed up the roster and planned an entire tournament to name a new PSW champion. I swear, it's like they're constantly trying to come up with new and exciting ways to rub it in my face. Oh, suuure, Jody was gracious enough to invite me to compete for my title. Yep, Kit Kelsey will have the very same opportunity as Travis Cage and a guy who thinks he's a bird... Can you even comprehend the slap in the face that is? Can you fathom that level of insult?

[Anger flickers in his eyes, but again he takes another deep breath.]

Kit Kelsey: The funny thing is, in Jody Wilson's attempt to slight me, what he's really done is punish all of you. Understand, if your name happens to find its way next to mine in a lineup sheet this evening, you are in a very dangerous predicament. Please know what's waiting for you in that ring isn't just a loss, but something truly career altering. Don't believe me? Well, then you haven't been paying attention. Don't you see what happens to my opponents when a title is on the line? Here's a hint: They disappear. They fade to black. They pack bags and skip town. The reason is simple, really; they learn that they aren't nearly as good as they once thought. They feel a depth of defeat that doesn't allow them to stay. And even if they win, even if they cheat and steal what's mine, they still can't bear to stick around. In one match, they realize from that point forward, every time they grab a microphone or plant feet in front of a camera lens to proclaim their greatness, they'll have that little bit of doubt in the back of their mind.

[His mouth curls into a half smile.]

Kit Kelsey: Call it a rude awaking. Chalk it up to a moment of clarity. Fact remains, I've already made a Griffin take flight and ran a King out of his castle. Now the real question is, which one of you is next? Because it's happening. That's my promise. Right here, tonight, someone in this tournament is leaving Peach State. Even I'm not exactly sure who it's gonna be... I guess I have to thank you, Jody, for giving me so many options. That, however, is where my graciousness ends. The last time the entire roster had a crack at the Peach State title, I stepped up, righting the ship and saving this company. This time, I'm done trying to be nice. I'm finished being patient. I told you all how wrong you were, and hoped you'd see the error of your ways... but there are other means. Other ways to make you see. To make you feel. You've left me no choice and pretty soon, at least one of you won't have one either. Just mark my words: In one night I'm gonna show this company why I'm the real deal... and then?

[Kit's eyes harden, a warning flashing dangerously.]

Kit Kelsey: ...I'm gonna show someone the door.

[ Fade back to the ring as referee John Empires officiates]

-Kelsey begins to stomp Dixie over and over again out of frustration.

-Kelsey starts to move to lift up Dixie, but Dixie jumps up and takes Kelsey down with a hurricanrana.
-Dixie climbs to the top rope, measuring for the Dixie D-Lite, and leaps off, only for Kelsey to roll out of the way. Dixie slams into the mat hard.
-Kelsey gets to his feet, leaning against the ropes, catching his breath as Dixie struggles to get back to her feet. He rushes her, grabbing her arm, and forcing her to the mat locking her into a crossface submission.
-Dixie struggles to get free, but she's in the center of the ring, as Kelsey wrenches back hard, she's forced to tap out.

Jaxson: It was a great match, and as much as I hate to say it, despite how Kelsey won his first match, I can't argue with his win here. Dixie put up a great fight, but in the end, Kelsey was the victor and was one step closer to reclaiming the Peach State Championship. But what interests me the most is his saying he was going to force someone out tonight. Comments like that always worry me, especially with some of our luck previously. Our next match saw two people that have faced each other a few times, and the last time they met, Johnny Royal and Dixie Leigh, the tag team of the Dirty South, took the tag titles away from Blaine Harrison and his tag team partner. It has been something that has not set well with Blaine since it has happened, and he's made no bones about it that he wanted to meet Johnny Royal in this tournament, and he got his wish.

HIGHLIGHTS
-Johnny Royal comes to the ring first to the cheer of the crowds, followed by Blaine Harrison, who got an equal number of cheers. They stand in the ring as the crowd is deadlocked for this match. The crowd is trading off a Royal chant, only to be followed by a Blaine chant.
-The two lock-up, but begin a series of moves only to be reversed. The series goes on for several moments, before they break apart.
-Blaine goes for a suplex, but Royal reverses it, only for Blaine to flip over the top of Royal, landing behind him, catching him with a quick bridging German suplex, nearly getting a quick two count, before Royal kicked out of it.
-Blaine sends Royal into the ropes, going for a clothesline, but Royal ducks it, and immediately leaps and connects with a perfect dropkick that takes Blaine down.
-Royal lifts Blaine and hits him with a snap suplex.
-Royal sends Blaine, only for Blaine to reverse it. Blaine rushes Royal, but Royal explodes out of the corner with a spear. He goes for a pin, but Blaine gets a shoulder up before the three.
-Royal stands on the top rope and comes down with a flying elbow drop, nearly getting another three count.
-Royal goes for a suplex, but Blaine reverses it into one of his own, putting both men down.
-Both men get to their feet, and as Royal goes toward Blaine, but Blaine grabs him and lifts him up onto his shoulders and drops him with a DVD. He covers, but only gets a two count as Royal gets his shoulder up.
-Blaine gets back to his feet first, lifting Royal up, immediately going for the Metal Heart Suplex, but as Royal is up, Royal brings his knee straight down into Blaine's head. Blaine stumbles and drops Royal back to his feet, letting him go. Royal grabs Blaine's head, and immediately rushes to the ropes, leaping up, going for the Royal Flush, but in mid-twist, Blaine somehow gets the momentum and turns and drops Royal straight down onto his back with some kind of waistlock bridging suplex. Royal tries to get out, but the ref counts the three count.
-The crowd cheers, as Blaine and Royal stare across each other after the ending. Royal, exhausted and winded, nods toward Blaine a show of respect, and Blaine nods one in return.

Jaxson: Another hard fought victory for Blaine tonight as he heads into the finals into the main event he wanted, as he gets to take on Kit Kelsey once again, the man he beat last month at Collision representing FGA. But he didn't have long to contemplate the match-up, but the match literally took place minutes after Blaine defeated Royal, and while Kelsey was nice and rested, Blaine was exhausted, but that didn't matter as the Peach State Championship was brought to the ring.

HIGHLIGHTS
-Blaine Harrison was announced already being in the ring. He slumped in the corner, trying to catch as much of his breath as he could before this match started. Kit Kelsey's name was announced and the course of boos was enormous as he made his way to the ring. Despite the fact that he was more rested than Blaine, fatigue showed on him as well. Neither man would be entering this match at 100%.
-The two go to lock-up, but Kelsey side steps Blaine and sends him to the mat with a drop toe hold, before immediately going for a crossface, the move he forced Dixie to submit to, but Blaine knew what was happening and immediately rolled toward the ropes for protection.
-Kelsey throws a right hand, but Blaine ducks it, and counters by picking Kelsey up in a back suplex, before turning it and sending Kelsey down to his back.
-Blaine goes for another attack on Kelsey, but Kelsey rolls out of the ring to catch his breath.
-Blaine rushes through the ropes, crashing into Kelsey with a suicide dive. Both men crash to the floor.
-Blaine is the first one up, lifting Kelsey up and sending him into the steel ring post.
-Blaine lifts Kelsey up again, but Kelsey rakes his fingers across Blaine's face, blinding him, before turning, and slamming Blaine's head into the steel ring post. He grabs him again and slams him into the post again and again for a third time. Blaine drops to the floor, as Kelsey climbs back into the ring.
-Blaine struggles to get to his feet, leaning on the apron, but then Kelsey rushes and drops down, catching him with a baseball slide. Blaine flies backwards, crashing back to the floor, as Kelsey slides out of the ring again.
-Kelsey grabs Blaine, lifting him up, and rolling him back into the ring, immediately going for a cover, but Blaine gets a shoulder up.
-Kelsey hammers Blaine with a few right hands, before going to the top rope. Kelsey measures and then leaps off, crashing down on top of Blaine with a leg drop. Once again Kelsey covers, but once again Blaine gets a shoulder up.
-Kelsey lifts Blaine up, going for a suplex, but Blaine reverses it and delivers a quick snap suplex to Kelsey.
-Kelsey gets back to his feet, as Blaine just gets to his knees. Kelsey drives a kick into his side, but Blaine catches it, and rolls Kelsey, locking in an ankle lock out of nowhere. Kelsey wasn't expecting it, but he's too close to the ropes. Kelsey grabs ahold of the ropes, as Blaine twists the ankle with all of his might.
-Blaine lets go and rolls away, as Kelsey gets back to his feet, damage already done to that ankle as Kelsey tests the weight of it, and stumbles.
-Kelsey goes to pick-up Blaine, but Blaine grabs him and drops down with a jawbreaker. Kelsey flies backwards, holding his head as Blaine once again drops.
-Blaine's the first one up this time as he takes his time to Kelsey. He bends down lifting Kelsey up, but Kelsey drives a thrust to the throat, sending Blaine backwards.
-Kelsey grabs Blaine's head and brings it down with a knee into his head. Blaine falls backwards, only being stopped by the corner.
-Kelsey grabs Blaine, sending him to the other side of the ring. Blaine slams into the corner hard, as Kelsey rushes across the ring at top speed. Kelsey leaps, just as Blaine moves out of the way. Kelsey slams hard into the turnbuckle, just as Blaine drops down, and catches Kelsey in a school boy.
-Empires drops down for the count. 1, 2, 3.
-The bell rings and the crowd explodes in cheers. Blaine gets to his knees as Empires goes to get the championship belt. He starts to walk toward Blaine, but is stopped by Kelsey who tries to argue that the title is his. Empires ignores him, but Kelsey actually tries to pull the title from his hand. Empires jerks it away and walks to Blaine, handing him the Peach State Championship. Kelsey stares in disbelief. He mutters that he's the champion. Blaine slowly gets to his feet and holds the title up as the crowd cheers even louder, almost mockingly to Kelsey. Kelsey still can't believe it as Blaine climbs out of the ring, the title over his shoulder. Kelsey turns to Empires yelling at him and then shoves him backwards, but Empires immediately shoves him backwards, sending Kelsey half way across the ring, before leaving Kelsey in the ring alone.
-Kelsey climbs out of the ring and snatches the mic from Natalie and climbs back in the ring.

Kelsey: This is unfair. This is Peach State Wrestling once again going out of their way to cheat me out of what is rightfully mine. First Reynolds, then King, then Jody, and now Empires! I won't stand for it. You got your wish, you sons of a bitch...I QUIT!!!

-Kelsey throws the mic down as the crowd actually cheers. He says something that is beeped by the censors before heading to the back as the first broadcast of Peach State Wrestling comes to an end.
